Talk politics with your boyfriend/girlfriend? You should.

If you can’t have an intelligent conversation with your better half, they aren’t your better half. Politics is the perfect subject to see if they know about current events, can talk with some intelligence, and you can have a healthy discussion. And they don’t even have to agree with you. Can they support an opposing argument?
Agree? If no, why?
Do you talk politics with your boyfriend or girlfriend? If you don’t.. you should. It’s a good test of whether it will last for the long term. I’ve dated people that are so stupid and uninformed that I had to tell them who to vote for at election time. (one person didn’t even vote before I said….my god you have to).

I totally agree, man. I once dated a girl so dumb she couldn't name the current president of the US. I sh!t you not. Granted the new president was just elected, but still. If I tried to talk about anything intelligent the conversation went no where. she shut down because there wasn't anything in her brain that she could discuss. this relationship made me know that if I can't have a conversation with a girl, she isn't going to be my girl for very long. Politics is a good test. History in general is a good subject. Or, anything besides the topic of "what's for dinner" or "do my nails look pretty". *mic drop*

My second wife is smart. I was dumb myself on the first one. Didn’t make that mistake twice.
I disagree. Don’t talk religion or politics with anyone. Keep your opinions to yourself and save yourself grief.
If you can’t talk religion and politics and any other sensitive topics with your spouse… who can you talk with? Of all people you’re spouse should be your sounding board for everything in your life.

Totally agree with the above. When you pick a partner there shouldn't be any taboo topics.
Lots of men talking about their women they they can’t talk to about intelligent topics. Same rings true for men. I won’t date stupid guys. That’s the first rule. Ask them a current events question and see what you get in return. Not much else matters if you can’t get through a basic conversation.
Tons of dumb men out there too. Everyone is ragging on the women. Sheeesh. I needed to balance out these comments. Men are STUPID too.
There are many more men who are complete dumb a$$es.
