Stitch is a wonderful community

I joined Stitch when it was just ramping up in San Francisco in September of 2015. I have met many wonderful people in the community. Before the pandemic, I joined other Stitchers to go out to eat dinner, and/or to go to Comedy Clubs, or movies, or large parties, etc. There are also many outdoor activities, but those were never my thing. Since the Pandemic, I have joined many zoom groups, some for just women to get to know other women, and some for both women and men. Some were arranged around a specific topic, like playing some online game, and some were educational, like learning sign language. Some were just chatting. But always, there were great people involved. Some I have seen again and again, and have contacted them privately as friends. Stitch is a wonderful community, absolutely well worth the price you pay (or you can have a limited membership for free). Many people are just looking for friends, but some are looking for romance, and some find romance! But the pressure is not there. It is a great organization!
