I am 62, male, single and semi retired. I joined Stitch 9 months ago after talking to a friend who mentioned he went on walks organised through “Stitch". The first event I attended was going to see a movie with 7 other "Stitchers". The organiser suggested a place where we could have lunch afterwards if we wanted (but no need to) and we had a great lunch, talked about the film, and a general chat. Over the next couple of weeks I met some of the same people at other events and many new people. For me, Stitch has been an amazing "find". There are people who love to oragnise events, some are "just" walks, or "lets see a movie", some organisers come up with amazing ideas of things to do - a Stitch tour of Lucas heights, or a mystery car rally with clues, and no payments to Stitch or the organiser for attending events! I have made great friends through Stitch, discovered new parts of Sydney and been to restaurants and places I would never have thought of visiting. My daughters are jealous because as they put it "Dad has a better social life than me". Stitch isn't a dating site but I've met many like minded people and one very special person who is now my partner.
