How important is a picture for a Dating Profile?

I agree. Having an accurate picture is a great way to get a feel for a persons integrity and self confidence. I have seen those that put in a picture of a much younger/slimmer/or whatever them from a previous era or who say they can't get a picture on the net. Why not be honest up front and then the good personality traits will shine through. Deception on any level is a form of fraud and theft. The looks aren't very important to me but the honesty and self assurance are.

Any deception IS fraud and theft! Which is why we women don’t wear makeup🙄 No wonder men feel like we have double standards. That’s alright, we’ll claim that we are interested in honesty and personality but will all compete for the same handful of men who know how to tell us what we want to hear, and at the same time complain that all men want a younger prettier woman. Dating is deception, how great would it be if we could all be honest about what we are looking for: most men want sex with out commitment and most women want the option to have their lover’s complete attention, until we get bored with it. There are exceptions to both of course, but for most this is why we have to each play this game.

I have found most women are more shallow then men when it comes to dating sites. First tip: "I like to wear heels, so you have to be X tall". You will never hear a guy say you need to be X short so I can wear my favorite hat.

To prove my point I created two profiles with the exact same info except for different height. Mr. 6'1" get 10 times the amount of likes and emails, than Mr. 5'10".

I then took it another route and again created a profile with a "9" and an almost blank profile with little info. The second, I created a guy that spoke several languages, great background profile, but about a "7". The first guy got dozens of emails, the second maybe one a week and nothing to write home about.

So kind of hard to feel any empathy for ladies when all the odds are in their favor and their behavior is sophomoric at best (not all, but most).

Ladies if you want men to be better behaved and write something more than "Hey There" then try replying when you get a well thought out opener. It doesnt have to be yes. If they turn sour after that then block them, but most guys that take the time to read your profile and write something pertinent wont act poorly.

So how important is a picture......pretty much everything when it comes to women.

I feel a photo is important so you're able to see whom you are conversing with. Being that I've been on 2 different dating sites for over a year and met 3 men who were not who they said they were, and also, a lot of men and women put photos up that are 10 years old........what is the purpose of this? If and when you meet someone, you will see the real person.........there's too much lying on most of the dating sites, whether it be a photo or a profile. I know cause when I was going thru my divorce, my ex, had professional pictures taken, which of course made him look much better, and he lied in his profile about everything,therefore, I do not trust anyone anymore.

I like seeing several photos of the person enjoying the outdoors or having fun with there friends. You can get a lot of insight of the person when you see them in a real life shot.
