My experience - match.com

Joined match.com about a month after breaking up from a year long relationship. It may have been beginner's luck, but I found a nice girl with a heart of gold on my first try plus I had a couple of other offers too! We had fun for a month or so and even had sex a few times. Unfortunately, my EX heard I was dating again and came back just long enough to sabotage things. Naturally, this ended my new relationship. Ironically, my EX and I broke up again shortly after. Hopefully, my EX is gone for good this time so I can move on with my life.

So I guess the moral of the story is that these dating sites sometimes work, but people who use them (myself included) may have some baggage. Then again, you take the same risk when meeting anyone in other ways too. I thought the profiles and images were helpful to take away some risk.

I may try again but not for a while.

Um...Well I have not joined a dating site. However I just found out my ex has. And NOW that I have seen his profile..OMG!!!! I am horrified to see what people can actually write about themselves and lie and get away with it. I feel bad for anyone who belives what teh read or eve see. My ex is pervert and an alcoholic and he is bipolar and has intermitent explosive disorder and was VERY abusive mentally and physically. I am absolutely NOT going to join a dating site NOW! I will meet someone the old fashioned way at a bar or at church LOL. I am speechless and in his profile he wrote words he had said to me and I thought I would throw up! I pity any woman who replies. Us women adn men have to stick together. I look at his profile knowing he is a weirdo now and on the verge of being a pedophile and it scares me!!! EEEK! Well I just hope whatever woman or "girl" that gets involved with him doesnt have any daighters under the age of 18.
