EH is horrible! Do not waste your money. A little background about me, then on to what happened. I joined EH in my early 40s. I'm female, look, feel and act much younger than 40-something. I'm fit, attractive (former model), 5'8", Master's degree, successful career and looking to get married/ltr after having been divorced 10 years.
I specifically requested matches within a 10-year range of my age (5 up/5 down). I was INUNDATED with "matches" of men 20+ years older than I am! It was RIDICULOUS. These old, fat guys were nowhere near what I was looking for.
When I complained vehemently to EH, I found out they CHANGED my age range criteria without my knowledge or consent. They provided instructions on where I could locate and reset the age range, which I did, to no avail.
I don't know who/where all these young couples are that EH shows in TV commercials. In my experience, they don't have much in the way of 40-something men on the site OR EH is matching the 40yo men with the 20yo women! That's probably it!
The founder gives me the creeps big time. In the TV ads he seems exactly the type who would match old men, like himself, with hot younger women! LOL
Nor being able to search on your own is the biggest drawback. I joined Match and like it much, much better.
