It's nice-looking and totally useless

And by "useless" I don't mean just the fact that some people actually CAN write and may even be top-notch, world-class writers, in more than one or two languages (which may be relevant to their potential matches).
I mean the fact that the "catchment" area is reduced to 150 miles (what, no "kilometres" option? Some cosmopolitism!) around the specified current location.
WHY? I have no idea.
But imagine someone stuck in some small village in the middle of Germany or Poland (or the USA, for that matter) - someone who is, perhaps, hoping to meet people from other countries, too. (And viceversa.) Well, tough luck.

And don't get me started on that Sun sign advertising crap. :)
First of all, many people enter their birthday as "January 1" by default. For one reason or another (usually nothing sinister) they are reluctant to list their real birthday. That's why you'll find so many "Capricorns" on such sites.
Secondly, the system is even astrologically pointless. What happened to cusp dates, where the Sun signs vary depending on the year? (If you are born on, say, March 20th, your Sun sign is going to be Pisces OR Aries, depending on the year you were born.)

And did they really need Susan Miller to come up with the Sun signs? :)
(I am not sure associating with her is a good idea, anyway. Those who don't care about astrology aren't going to be impressed by her name, anyway. Those who do may have a less than stellar opinion about her.)

Finally, deleting your profile seems to be impossible.
It may seem unnecessary, anywaay, but it is a matter of principle. And principles should be respected.
