There was so many scammers the site became unusable. Sad to say all of the "free" sites have this problem. I usually try to find the person on facebook as verification they are real or not. I know there are people who are not on facebook but most are.

Fakes have fake facebook accts! They do any and everything to suck someone in. Fake thing is still on facebook with fake friends!
Best way, have them email you and see where it originated, directions online....if says Nigeria etc., there's a fake found out!

Pof has many many scammers , for those pof'ers a good sign to watch for is widowed, working abroad ( Africa, Dubai) speaking of love or God ... I left all dating sites because of this...

I am widowed but no scammer by no means, i live in the US, but i know what you mean by scammers on these sites, lots of them on all of them, i just turn them into the site, not sure what they do with them....lol

I totally agree with that , not only on POF , but any dating site , they are engineers and have one child who is studying abroad , Most are God fearing.
