Great Expectations

WOW! I Googled the name of this company just to see if they were still in business, as I had dealt with them over thirty three years ago. This was way before anyone had ever heard of the internet and lonely guys like me would put personal ads in newspapers and magazines. I did so, rented a post office box, and waited for the responses to pour in. I got two responses. One was from a woman who lived about forty five miles away from me, and the other was from Great Expectations. At that time, I didn't have to go in for an interview, all I had to do was return a pre-printed form with my likes and dislikes and a money order for something like $25.00. That's right, $25.00, not $2500.00. I got back a sheet from them with about seven names and phone numbers of women they thought matched my preferences. I met with three of them. The second one became my wife, and we were married for almost thirty two years before she passed away last year. I can't believe that this Great Expectations that is ripping people off for thousands of dollars is the same company that I sent $25.00 to over thirty three years ago.
