eLove is Bad

TRUST THE BAD REVIEWS. As a single mother I thought I was going a good route because the men I met would have been background checked and vetted out by a human being. I was very clear about my criteria - I'm a professional with an advanced degree and for what I was (still am) paying for this service, I required and expected to be matched with men with the same qualifications. My first match was a truck driver missing digits whose idea of a nice first date was Cracker Barrel. Let me be clear - he was presented by eLove as "self-employed" owning his own business. I let my "matchmaker" know in the follow up that I had higher expectations. Much higher. Next I was matched with an Xray tech. At least this one had a degree of some sort, but he was presented to me as "a healthcare professional" - very misleading. The next match was presented as a college graduate who was also "an owner in a successful family business." He was not only missing digits, but also had the scars from the lobotomy he had to get after college, and he also had Parkinson's. Very nice man, but very ill health. That's not something I signed up for either. The fourth match was closest to what I may have considered acceptable - an officer in the Army and a pretty fun first date to dinner and a hockey game. Apparently he wasn't into me so we moved on. When my matchmaker called with the next one, a Nigerian immigrant who was "a manager" at UPS and "in the process" of getting his degree (we're in our 40s here), I drew the line. I'm legally bound to pay for this crap service and would raise a stink about having to do so if I had time for lawsuits. Has anyone managed to get out of a contract with them? If so, what was your secret weapon?

I joined I believe three years ago, had a referral sent to me even though didn't know about it. Nice girl, but never was able to speak on phone or meet. For 500 a month it's like an escort service. I just wanted to meet a good girl, who had her shot together. Had another referral but couldn't even reach her. Ridiculous to think this is s professional service, can I have money back
