I have a comment on internet dating sites...well a story actually. My boyfriend and I met on one. It wasn't the first time I'd met someone online. He lived in Waterloo, working and I was living at home in the GTA in university- quite the commute, but he was so sweet! Within a month we were madly in love and 8 months later he moved to be closer to me.

A little over a year ago we broke up (don't worry there's a happy ending)- and one of the worst things about that breakup was internet dating sites. They were so easily accessible for us to quickly "amuse" ourselves with new people. Not bothering to even try to work things out because it was so quick to just put yourself back out on the market- so why bother to work it out? Well lucky for us we never got over each other and after 8 months of dating other people from internet dating sites (and let's face it we each signed up for 5 different ones!) we ended up back together, are moving in together next month and into a new house next summer.

So moral of the story? Internet dating sites are good (hey it worked for me!)..as long as it's not because you've hit a rough patch in a relationship or as a rebound thing. Funny enough we had our palms read last week and she said that we met earlier (and in an unusual way) than we were meant to meet.

anonoymous----have you ever tried lavalife? what a rip off service....they really suck and they will not refund you credits which they charge in U.S. funds.
there are a lot of sickos on that site.....but if you respond negatively to a male that maybe harrassing you ---you get banned.
i am advising all my single friends not to use this site as it is so awful.actually it is a fraudlent service that pretends it is free but it is not.
they should be banned from the internet
