I found this site after almost 11 months to be hugely disappointing, particularly from a Catholic perspective. Many of the members were very extremely conservative, dogmatic and so negative and argumentative that many forums just needed to be avoided by posting. It was an embarassment to even read forums such as the traditional and poitical rooms. The behavior was often child-like and unbecoming.

Rule breaking abounded with little assistance from adminstration. Personal attacking and grand standing was highly prevalent with little logical or humane follow up by administration. Faith statement, geographical and political bias was evident in the administration in terms of what and who they tolerated. At times it was not clear there was any monitoring even after the complaint process had been initiated. The bottom line was evident in that one could not figure out from a profile if the member was active or not; however, they boasted a huge membership. Old memberships were posted as new memberships on the opening page. Whether a profile was a paid subscription and last time on line status was also not evident.--clearly no accidents.

The match criteria is a farce but I did personally eventually meet one man who was not matched by the site to me. I did make many good friends whom I eventually met in person from this site. I still maintain almost daily contact with most although few continue to subscribe to this site. Yet at no time would I recommend Catholic Match.com to anyone seriously looking to date or marry. Further anyone who seriously calls themselves a Christian or Catholic will be unfortunately challenged by the treatment of others at this site in the forums and by administration.

I have been on this site for about 3 months now & would totally agree. Childish banter on the forums. The men can not send emails just (winks) I'm not sure why, perhaps they can not write! When I have sent emails just saying hey I like your profile & pics they act like I'm asking them to get married. Not impressed with this site at all, I should have spent the money on lotto tickets instead :) I have had much better luck on ok cupid & searching for catholics, at least there they have a sense of humor & actually reply.
