I am going to come out and just say it... I work for Fling and Global Personals. These posts are from 2007 mostly and this was at a time where internet scammers were allowed to run rampant. Online dating was new and Fling and even their competitors did not have systems in place to fight off the multi-million scam and fraud industry. This has all since changed. Global Personals has one of the top scam and fraud prevention systems in place.

All fake profiles were setup by scammers and the same with those seemingly automated messages. If you were to try the site today you will find a much different experience one that current users rave about in the forums. It is true there will always be more complaints than positive we all seem to neglect he positive in our lives not just with dating. Don't believe the hype. We all like to hear a good conspiracy but the truth is that comparing online dating from two years or even a year ago to today is a whole different ball game. Fling and the like are pioneers in this industry and this is why the remain to this day some of the top sites on the planet.

To be honest and fair if you look at the number of complaints filed compared to the number of satisfied paying customers we are talking less than 100th of a percent. THAT IS A FACT.

You can say that things have gotten better, well what about this: Amateurmatch states in the terms that they have people that work for them called "Online Cupids" or OC's. These people either pose as members or are members that for whatever reason contact other members to, as the management calls it "stimulate the interest in the website" there by getting the "stimulated member" to continue paying monthly fees. But heres the kicker, The terms also express that under no circumstances will you ever make contact physically with an OC, No exceptions! How many members do you think would still be stimulated if they were aware of this up front......
