Yes, Ashley Madison is a scam. Yes, Ashley Madison is legit. Both are true. I am a male who has been on Ashley Madison for about 4 years off and on. I have purchased credits on two different occasions, both the introductory package. I have met a handful of wonderful women on the site and had long term affairs with two of them.

For the most part, the profiles on the site are shill profiles, meant to bolster the number of women that appear to be looking for affairs in your area. Over the past four years, these same profiles have been active from the very beginning, with clear face pictures in all of them. What kind of discreet woman looking for an affair has her picture on a site like this for all to see for four years straight?

Even what AshMad says about their contact policy really doesn't apply to men. The second woman I met was single and was a paying member of the site. I had flirted with her a couple of times to both let her know I was interested and see if she was a shill. Well, she sent the first message to me, and it wasn't collect! But I still wasn't able to view the message because I had not purchased credits. So two members had to purchase credits to be able to exchange messages and the only reason was that the male had not bought credits! After my credits were exhausted, I was still communicating with her on AshMad among other places, but once the credits were gone I could no longer read her messages! So apparently, unlimited contact after the first contact doesn't apply either!

Do yourself a favor, if you do sign up for AshMad, don't buy credits right away. Hang out and let the shills contact you first so you can weed them out. Look for new profiles with no pictures and with information written in the profile, not just check boxes. Women who contact you first on this site are generally not real so don't take collect messages from them. And check out what they are looking for, if they say they are looking for a cyber affair then that profile is most likely a shill as well to get people to use the chat service and burn credits. Oh and beware the automatically checked "priority message" when you send email to someone. Even when it's not the first email or you're just replying to someone this box will get checked and you will lose credits if you forget to uncheck it.

In short, be smart about your money boys. Don't let the liars at AshMad take you for a ride, spend your money on the beautiful women you get lucky to meet on AshMad instead. Good Luck!
