A total rip off!

Do not waste your money on this company, instead take a nice and relaxing vacation. I was lucky enough to get my money back through my credit card.
It's Just Lunch is a scam; the company uses tacky sales techniques and promises to find someone nice for you. I was doubtful but decided to give it a try. I joined in NY and paid $1,000. I was set up with two terrible dates. My second date did not have a job, was on a verge of depression and spent half an hour badmouthing the company and telling me that he had many scheduled dates with women who failed to show up to meet him.
I was very specific about my matches, but the two dates I received did not match my requirements at all. I phoned the company several times and they never had a match for me. There is more to the story, but to make it short....I finally called my credit card company requesting my money back. After reviewing my complaint, I received a full refund. A few days later, I received a phone call from a Director of It's Just Lunch claiming that the company will fight the refund. My credit card reviewed the complaint again, but did not give the money back to the company. I am happy that I was able to get a full refund. Please do not join this company. Dating on your own is difficult, but It's Just Lunch is a terrible company that takes your money knowing that they have no appropriate matches for their clients.

I guess I was one of the ony success stories, I met my husband through IJL. I'll admit that they didn't get it right all the time, but I decided to keep trying and I finally met the man of my dreams. Yes. dating is hard, that is why I decided to try this, but you only make it harder when you go into it close-minded, which sounds like what happened with a lot of the bad experiences. I also referred my sister and she had some complaints, but she has been on 3 great dates, and now is dating one of the guys a little mor seriously. I felt compelled to write something nice, because I from the addage that people only talk about the bad in something, I wanted to stick up for this company because I lucked out and found someone awesome. I feel bad for all the bitter women out there who complain about a service they signed up for. It's probably better off that you all are single anyway. I would feel dorry for the poor bastards that got stuck with your miserable asses. Good luck being single for the rest of your life.

You were probably matched with someone clueless otherwise he would have been onto you pretty quick. Either that or you were just desperate.

i haven't even done its just lunch. i am actually just researching on it because i was curious and i didnt want to get into something that wasn't going to be for me. I honestly don't understand why the lady who now has a husband from IJL is being so mean to the people that had a bad experience. It's not their fault they had a bad experience. This lady was maybe the one success story and felt she had to stick up for the company. But at the same time if she is happily married why is she wasting time writing blogs to stick up for the company. Seems like someone who works within the company who is trying to get the companies' reputation to look better and make up for all those negative comments.

So glad I read the reviews before going through with joining. I know some men below say women are jut whining that Mr. Perfect is not right at our disposal, but given that there are more women in the world than men, and that most of the good men are taken, there is some truth to the frustrations they feel, me included. More importantly, they say they hand pick the dates, and it appears it is more of a cattle call. I find that somewhat offensive and disgusting... I will take my chances elsewhere... After all, love can't be rushed or artificially concocted... :-)

Just because you lucked out, doesn't mean that everyone else is a miserable bitch who doesn't deserve happiness. I was very open minded, but around the 15th date I realized that if I were unattractive (and therefore willing to date all the ugly guys they matched me with), this service wouldn't be so bad. Maybe that's why you were so lucky?
