So many FAKE Profiles!

So the bigger question is… why does POF allow all of these profiles to go online to begin with? If they really wanted to have a decent website, they would block the IP addresses of all of those scammers. Each time you block an IP address, it makes it more difficult for these scammers to get back to the POF site. After enough attempts, they won't be able to get back in at all. But POF doesn't have the competency to realize it. They need to hire some IT professionals and not these amateurs. Pay the extra money for good IT people and clean up your website. Once you have a cleaner website, more people will want to pay to use it.

I'm currently a paid subscriber on POF (Jul - Sep 2022) and the fake profiles have become more sophisticated. The "unsophisticated" ones are easy to spot. They will have an older age yet post pictures of 20 something age.

I've read that the new fake profiles have age appropriated pictures. If you message them they will indicated that they have read your email and viewed your profile. But they don't respond. That way the sender will say, "I guess he/she isn't interested in me." At least he/she doesn't think it's fake.

Also, it shows that there are a lot of women on the site so that will attract men paid subscribers. You can only see if the person have read or viewed or "like" you if you are a paid subscriber.
