Matching

Unfortunately for members looking for this feature on the site, MyTransgenderDate.com does not offer a page that displays your matches. What they do instead is email you daily or weekly summaries of your profile’s activity, as well as possible matches, new and featured profiles. This is a small community where distance between members on average are greater than other mainstream dating services so the reasoning behind not including a Matching page does make sense if it is not going to be used a lot. Plus, the search feature is robust which means you can easily find other members that meet your criteria.

Searching

You have 2 main options for search. On the top menu bar, you can either click on "Online" or "Search".

With the "Online" option it brings you to the quick searches page. On this page you have 3 self explanatory options "Online Members", "New Members", and "It's their birthday today". The results returned on this page are not filtered by any other attribute and include all members in all countries. A link is available on the page which allows you to return the same results over on the "Search" page where you can filter the results further using the advanced search. The "Online" menu item also includes a total count. This count combines the total result numbers from all 3 quick searches.

When you visit the "Search" page this is where you will initially be spending most of your time when you first join MyTransgenderDate. It includes 3 options "Basic Search", "Advanced Search", and "First Name Search". All 3 search types can work off each other. This means I can select some basic search options along with some advanced search options, and if I also want to do a name search, I would click the "Search now" button for this and the results returned are based on all 3 sets of filters (basic, advanced, and name).

Basic search includes your gender (either man or transgender women), your country, last online, and to filter by profiles with photos or not.

Advanced search includes an age range, height range, city, and max distance other members are from your location. You can also multi select filters for most attributes of the profile including relationship status, language, and the type of trans women you are looking for (Pre-op, Post-op, Non-op, and Transvestite). All these options also include a "No preference" option and a "Didn't say" option.

Depending on the device viewing the website, your results will either be returned in a single or double column layout. For each profile summary the main photo will be displayed along with a photo count, first name, age, country, relationship status, and the type of transgender woman they are. Profiles marked with a green "Verified" badge are paid Premium members. Members who have a green dot beside their first name are online now and those marked with a green "New" badge have joined the dating service 7 or less days ago. Clicking on the member name or photo will take you to their full profile. You can also hide profiles by clicking on the X icon, Favorite profiles by clicking on the heart icon, and send the member a message by clicking on the envelope icon.
