My Transsexual Date, the leading online platform for transgender women and trans oriented men looking for love, is taking its web-based version to a mobile app.

The company announced that its new dating app is in development and will soon be available on both iOS and Android. It will also be connected to the dating website when it rolls out. Once the app is released, it will have the largest user base for trans daters, giving it an edge over other trans dating platforms. Currently, users can sign up online and browse via the website on their desktops or phones, but there hasn’t been a dedicated app.

The company takes security very seriously, with a moderation team that is staffed around the clock to ensure the safety of users and prevent harassment of members. Added to that, My Transsexual Date is working on a new profile verification system where members will have to take a photo or record a video to prove they are real, in order to curb the proliferation of fake profiles – a common issue among online dating platforms.

My Transsexual Date also plans to expand accessibility for non-English speaking users. They are translating the website into more languages including Vietnamese, Korean, Indonesian, Portuguese and Russian.

The platform has more than 25 million page views per month, and over a million profiles worldwide. Activity on the app is impressive – the company estimates that it has over 90 million messages that have been sent over the app, with an average of about 75,000 per day, as well as more than 600 new subscribers daily.

The site is different from most dating platforms in that it’s completely ad-free, a bonus to users who just want the online dating experience without interruption. Also, the premium membership price begins at $10.90 per month for men who want to send messages and browse freely, but transsexual and transgender women can use the platform and send messages for free.

The company advocates for transgender women, who have often been subjected to abuse and harassment on mainstream dating apps. In fact, of My Transsexual Date’s 20 employees, most of them are transgender women.

On its website, the company also says it “aims to break stereotypes, normalize transgender relationships and spread the message that love knows no gender.”

My Transsexual Date was founded in 2013 by French entrepreneur Cyril Mazur and Filipino beauty queen Maki Gingoyon.
