I did find a site but it is old information 9over a year old. Yahoo had the most members but less than half the mebers had about the sme percentage.

Is there a site or sites that give current and true information on actual date site membership. How effective is the site. That sort of thing.

I have found this reviews site to contain the most detailed information so far and from my web experiences. Dating sites for the most part do not give out paid members information just usually only the total number of members, both free and paid. I believe in one article I read that Match.com had over a million subscribers of their total 15 million membership. That is a lot but the members are spread around so it may not work for you where you live. With paid dating sites not giving out the number of paid members information is similar to the free dating site not giving out their actual user numbers. I know Plenty of Fish have a lot of members but how many actually visit the site every couple of days or actually reply to their mail? It would be nice to see this information on a per region basis.

How effective a site is I find usually depends on who you talk to. I argue with my friends all the time on which dating site works. I think all the major dating sites work but it just depends on the person and on his or her profile, their location, the amount of time they put into it and a bit of luck that there are a few compatible actively participating people on the site with you at the same time.

I've thought of adding the actual member numbers to the dating reviews before but they are really hard to find, the information is to old or suspect, or the information has never been released. If the company is publicly traded you usually can gleam this type of information from the financial numbers. I'll try to get a story together about this. I should be able to get the numbers for 5 or 6 dating sites that I have done the reviews for.

I think a LOT of people would like to see the real numbers of who are actual members that can respond.

Even on a free site like plenty of fish, I figure most are just trolls seeking atention making impossilbe hoops to jump through.

The women in the 40-50 group seem to enjoy this hoop jumping sport a LOT.

If one women said i would go on a date with you if you stood on one leg and sent me a photo, she would e mail back that you stood on the wrong leg ( and she never told you which leg to stand on in the first place)

I pick on plenty of fish becuase it is so tow faced. The owner says put away your credit card. We don't rip you off like the paid sites. And his site is littered with links and ads to the very paid sites he is dissing.



I have read that POF was a learning experince about some theory. And it has evolved inot supposedly the largest date site in the world.

I have read that it IS the largest date site in Great Britian. but not the US.

I've started the page I mentioned in my previous post. Statistics and Facts. Not much information there yet and I am still unsure of the layout but I plan on adding some more dating facts I have collected soon. I do plan on keeping this page updated as more information gets released.

There are sites like that, but they get drowned out by dating service operators whose business would be hurt by them.
