Long, long overdue.

The last moderators abandoned the forms 5 years or so ago. They have been a no-mans land, twilight zone, etc. ever since.

I say good riddance.

Hmmm, surprised, the Plenty of Fish forums are still pretty active.

POF has attempted to make the forums less popular before. In 2010 they took the forum link off of the POF website but they ended putting it back up in a few months after people complained they couldn't find it.

Maybe if enough people let POF know they want to continue to use the forums, POF will keep it around.

No, they were not. Have not been for a few years, outside of less than 75 regular posters that always ended up fighting and deleting each other.

Unless Match/POF is willing to completely re-code a new forum and actively moderate them reinstating it will never happen.

Match Group, who bought POF from Markus Friend in July 2015 for $575 million USD, has no interest in supporting the forums. The forums had been un-moderated for a year or more before the sale of POF to Match. Other than the event forums Markus just completely abandoned the forums. I, as some others, speculated that the antiquated and sloppy coding prevented an easy cheap way to separate the event forums from all the others without completely braking the forum site.

The POF forums had degraded into a miserable place. Outside the “Plenty of Love” section, they were basically dead. Even the Plenty of Love section lost most of the postings and the people posting were the same 20 or so people in their fifties or sixties who have been on POF for years. That is who I would want dating and love advice from, a fifty or sixty something that has been single for 20 years or more, looking for love and never succeeding. Yep, perfect for love advice.

The POF forums in the heyday had hundreds, several hundreds, of posts a day. For several years now there have been less than 20 posts a day, worldwide, and that is on a good day.

The “Off Topic” section was the only other section that had regular participation. Usually 5 to 10 posts a day. Often less. And it was 90% the same 20 or less people. All the threads quickly turned into a pro-Trump/anti-trump argument with endless back and forth insults.

Go to the link I posted above. You will see that Match has no interest in fixing the POF forums.

Sad to see them go, too.

A lot of the dating/relationship forums provided concrete proof of why online dating and even regular dating is so difficult for most.
At least there was someplace to communicate with a group and throw out ideas, rather than just separate individuals.

The forum is wide open and completely unmonitered/unmoderated. That will be perfect for POF formbies.

POF does say in the forums shutdown message:

Event Hosts can still create and promote events while we work on a new and improved event creation service for you.

I can add a category to the forums here for events but I can't create forums for every state or province. Also the only way for POF members to say if they are attending would be to reply the post either with a user account on this website or as an anonymous user. They can't use their actual POF account to login and confirm they will be attending.

Let me know if this is something you want setup.

My many nemeses from the defunked POF forums will likely be shaking their heads as they read the article and your quoting me.

Hopefully some of them will migrate here as mentioned by Cat earlier in this thread.

KJ, if you see this sorry I didn't have a chance to say see-ya. I never re-opened a profile after I was deleted during that tift with DD.

Lurker, it would even be nice to hear from you too. Hey, if I open an account here I might finally be able to claim your handle!

As a long time poster on POF who historically probably has more terminations than anybody else, they finally figured out a way to get rid of me :-).

Cash, you were not liked because you chose to be intentionally antagonistic to virtually everybody.

Other than an occasional investment board and facebook, I never posted to any other forums other than POF....and at one time they were vibrant, especially in off-topics or the science-philosophy threads where at times some very good threads were created.

I don't know how I ended up on POF, as I recall I googled for an interesting forum, and came across POF and started out on the dating side ...and almost immediately with some of my intentionally contrarian opinions pissed some of the women off, who did their best to keep me off the boards. If I had been looking to date, which I was not, those would have been the last women in the world i would have considered.

Eventually made my home on the off topics board and watch as most of the good posters either were terminated or left of their own accord.

Never understood KJ. I met her and she seemed to be a very decent woman, so I never got her nothing but Trump stance and her draconian view of abortions...accusing me of being culpable in the deaths of millions of babies...even though abortion is the one area I do not argue...either for or against.

Even though I was very anti Trump myself, I despised that leftists had deleted so many on the right, including John and others.

The perpetual termination of profiles by self-reporting was just too much and that is what eventually killed the boards.....still we all saw it coming, sad it is.

Don't know if I want to bother figuring out these boards...wonder if they are just as much fun as POF once was.

Ata, (AKA jackal44) aren’t you accusing the kettle of being black here? Anyway, not ‘virtually everybody’, many but nowhere close to everybody. Mainly Frank, Lurker, SlimeFish, DD, and some others, but again, nowhere close to everybody.

I see you went ahead and registered here yesterday. I do not think the administration here will put up with the way you, I, and nearly every regular poster acted in the last five years of the unmoderated POF forums with all the shenanigans, trolling, sock puppets, insults and fights. I think the abandoned forum SlimeFish started would be a much better place for all that.

I had been on the POF forums for almost 12 years – on and off. I too do not understand KJ’s all things Trump. I never had the opportunity to meet her in person. We have messaged back and forth over the last several years. Even though I am an Ohio Republican, I was a ‘Never Trump’. Our politics we agreed to disagree on and we left it at that. I will say that I was saddened to see her posting style change to be so confrontational the last few years. That started after her long standing KJ profile was deleted for the first time in the troll wars about a year after the Tall thread that Miss A started as The Wizard. It was also just after the tribute thread to *cowboy*, a friend of hers. It was upon her return that she started posting in the political arguments in the Off Topic pages. I just ran across this site today looking for information on why POF finally closed the forums. I saw the article quoting Cash. Before today I had never heard of this forum.

Cash, go ahead , take the name. I do not have any use for it. I surely will not be joining any more dating forums.

My vote, if I had one, would be that closing the POF forums was long over due. I also have to agree with cash (Yes, I am actually agreeing with him) that the only possible reason to have kept them open so long without moderation nor support was because of the event forums being unable to be separated from the rest of them. At least not easily.

I had just a few notes back and forth with KJ after the forums were shuttered and before I deleted my account. In one of them, I told her that if ata was able to he would have likely made a post claiming/taking credit for the POF forums closing just to stop his postings. So, no surprise he has done so in this forum.

Its amusing to me Forum Lurker, that you would actually be discussing me with KJ. When I at one time was friendly with KJ, i rarely spoke about any of the other posters...because most of them did not matter to me any more than I should have mattered to you. Its nice to know I made an impression on you, so much so I was a topic of your conversation.

KJ was of course important because we were friendly. I don't think it matters that she made enemies with many of the anti-Trumpers on the board, but she didn't seem to care that she made a significant enemy of Joe or of Hawk, who were at one times very friendly with her, nor of me. Funny, I guess she had little respect for those of us who did not support the undignfied, amoral man who is our President, much as we have little respect for those who support Trump despite what he so obviously is. Ah well....friends come and friends go, as do message boards.

Sorry you didn't see the humor in my last post here...of course that was always the problem with so many on the boards. They took themselves so seriously...sad but typical.

I will be honest here, I look at people differently when I know they are very strong Trump supporters. I have friends who support Trump, but recognize his many flaws, still support him as the anti-politician. I can understand that. I simply do not get though the anything Trump crowd. I honestly believe strong support from Trump comes from Racists and Bigots...and that is why I was so disappointed in KJ. She seemed like a genuinely decent person to me.....but then when it came to her anything Trump stance...well very difficult to understand. Most of my friends are more or less progressive. I like it like that, I think progressive people are far more decent people, because that is what it is all about...decency and recognition of the value of all, not just those white people who live in the United States.

KJ probably should have avoided the off topics and originally I thought she was too sensitive to be there, but she proved me wrong. She was up for the challenge there and more...pity it cost her so many friendships. I guess that is life in politics land.

As for the Tall thread, I missed it, I don't believe I was a member at the time. I became Tall's nemesis though...it was only natural I would do so given our personalities, and I of course believed and still am not sure if you were or were not Tall. But it doesn't matter any more. I have surprisingly adjusted to the loss of the message boards. Actually a good thing. I spent far too much time reading them.

Although the POF forums sometimes turned into nasty name calling, I will miss the forums. For better or worse, it was a way to find out other people's viewpoints about various aspects of dating. It also helped me realize why online dating can be difficult and that there were many other people who had the same types of experiences with online dating that I did.

Frank tried to troll me by calling me a lot of things and of being several different users over the years. DDSterile Tried to insult me more than once by calling me Mr J Trash. Sterile also accused me of being both ata and that cowboy who posted all the emoji codes. Slimefish tried to antagonize me multiple times too from each of his incarnations. Ata continues to accuse me of being Tall. I have also been accused of being Frank, Lurker, Red…… I cannot remember, off hand, all the other POF user names people accused me of being.

A troll accusing a user/poster of being a sock puppet of another troll is a common trolling tactic in forums. It was prevalent in the POF forums.

So, you accusing me of being someone else is not a problem. Accusing me of being KJ though was a new one that came out of left field. That got an actual out loud chuckle from me when I read it. I do not care who wants to call me what. No problem since everybody is nobody real in a forum. Keep it up. I’m curious to see who/what else you come up with. Lets see if you can continue to entertain me.

I will say that I must have struck a nerve with seeing your reply to my reply to “Y’all’s” KJ KJ KJ post.

Tell me, why are you afraid to use your POF handle and identify yourself here? Ata did. I did. Is it that you would be embarrassed that no man gets a hard on thinking of you?

You know, as time goes on and Trump opens his mentally ill mouth day after day, I have less and less respect for anybody who does not see the man for what he is. Anybody who still supports that Grifter, no matter who they are, have very suspect personalities in my opinion.

I wonder how many people have separated from loved ones, friends and family because of their support for that man. I would not tolerate a woman who supported him. He is so utterly despicable that anybody who supports him has to be partly despicable themselves. I never would have dated such a woman. Hate to say this but anybody who still supports him.....it says a lot about the type of people they are deep down.

I do miss the boards.. but I have missed them for a long time now, even when they were operating. Until POF turned the right to terminate over to the savages, allowed for self-reporting and self termination, it was really a fun place to be and off topics especially had some very intelligent people...some of whom stayed until the last.

Ultimately, I think t was the posses of angry women who destroyed the board. Anything was tolerable, even Tall, but not the angry women who terminated profiles. I was single for a long time before I got married, and married for even a longer time...one thing the boards did for me was made me happy I was not off the dating scene for decades.......gosh I never realized until those boards just how bad things could be out there for the single person looking for a relationship.

I do miss our Scottish poster, and the guy from England who was waiting for the economies of the world to Crash. I miss other posters too...but must admit that there were some truly evil people there...I don't miss them so much.

As in the former POF Forums, we had a puppet master (several) who has more socks than a Hanes factory...all who conversed among themselves, sometimes backing up or admiring the puppet master & sometimes disagreeing (as to appear more authentic).

The former poster known as Eternity said it well: "If one is going to photo shop, it should be better than a fourth grader's collage."

Not everyone was THAT blind, stupid/naive, but few had the gumption to come out & state the truth.

Cowboy was ghosted, & someone PRETENDING to be Miss A. started & posted as The Wiz, etc.

Well BA, you were a victim, and according to some also a perpetrator....especially according to the guy who was retired law enforcement, who for whatever reason could not keep a profile here, and he was a pretty normal guy too . Supposedly, according to some anyway, you were the one working in the background, terminating his profile. All irrelevant now of course.

But yep, there were some very nasty and vicious women on those boards, especially among the older, long term single women. Angry would be the apt word for many of them. Of course, there were some pretty nasty guys and petty guys too...so its all a matter of perspective.

His name was crookcatcher by the way. Just came to me. KJ's good friend, so with him terminated so many times, purportedly because of you, it was only natural that you and KJ would become enemies of the other.

I of course am unaware of anybody more terminated than I was, and in the end, I have no idea who was targeting me...could have been anybody or tall working in the background, could have been cash for all I know, but it was really irritating to have to deal with. When POF went that route, they should have known what would happen. At least with Ms. Allison, you only got a short time out.

I get to live my life as a real woman, had all the experiences & relationships I posted about & showed in my photos. No one from the forums lives my life, accesses my bank account, etc. so it doesn't affect me :0)

I didn't have to lift stock photos of popular venues such as The Blue Martini & photo shop myself into them ;0P

Let the old hens cluck...and photo shop, lie, harass , be miserable etc.

Very true BA about your paranoia.. You really need to do some soul searching and introspection about why you have had so many issues with so many.

I know why the women did not like me, and it was simply their not liking my outspokenness and viewpoints espoused on the board. I feel proud that the cowgirl (whatever her name was) made me the focal point of her hate, her and volkano, etc. I mean face it, these women were completely and totally fuked up. The women who ignored me were the women who had their stuff together. In the end, no stable person should have cared what another person said on those boards. The only time I recall getting really angry at a poster was with funchesf, and that was because he attacked and mocked holocaust victims. Other people I thought were miscreants, but gave them little emotional energy...cept for MungoJoe because he truly was obnoxious, much like Frank was, only Joe was smarter than Frank. And I enjoyed arguing with Joe because of it.

Ah well, since I do not dwell on those boards, I am already forgetting the names of people.

It would be great if this cite allowed for an off topics type of message board, maybe former forumites will gravitate to over here. And without the ability of the members to terminate profiles, this would be a far better place imho. If there are disruptive personalities, the mods here could take care of them, not based on rational and reasonable content though that other's don't agree with.

Not sure though the owner of this cite would tolerate an off topics board with lots of dissension.

Was I one of the few people that used the forums to find out the bots that were looking at my profile and see their profile? There was a trick that you could use that if you went to the forums and then clicked on someone's name, you took that URL and there was a place you could click on the result that would take you right to their profile. Was very useful.

board should monitor the registration under same ip and a pseudo so it doesn't become a repeat, and might actually benefit some poor soul who just comes in for the read and research.

The anonymous posting is working just fine for now for me. If somebody wants to imitate me have at it. This is just an internet forum so absolutely no problem. Well I locked in the Jackal profile. If I ever need it I will use it.

I never really bought in to sock puppets on POF, mainly because most people wouldn't make the effort to do so. I created numerous throw away profiles at the same time, but only because I had so much difficulty keeping a profile going. And literally, it took me less time to create a profile than it took to terminate it.

Anybody can get around the typical cite restrictions. It is easy to change IP addresses, even without using a VPN, Towards the end, to create profiles on POF, I had to provide my cell phone and email. Not sure if they started doing that to everyone, but I just went to a site that allowed you to create an email for ten minute use, or a fake cell phone number.

Credit cards might be one way, but anybody can order a credit card in a fake name so long as they are linked to a master credit card. though that is more difficult. And besides, requiring people to pay for a forum will probably result in the loss of a lot of people, unless they are already paying members to be part of a particular dating cite.

Driver's license numbers can be faked.

If somebody wants to post somewhere, nothing can really stop them.

Pretty simple if you ask me. I do not understand why/what you think is so difficult about that. (???) A simpleton can figure that out, no?

The best guess I have as to why it is that they do not do so is out of embarrassment because of their posting history on POF and that they do not want to be associated with it. Sort of a clean slate. I’m just calling them out. If they do not have anything to be embarrassed about then why hide who they were?

Not really a problem in the big picture. People do not fundamentally change. At least not easily. So, they will reveal their true personality regardless of whatever name the use.

A perfect example is the delusional Blondie who could not help herself after reading posts about someone she truly hates and cannot help but attack: the famous, or infamous, KJ. Her posts were obvious who was posting them. Whether she called herself “Y’all know me”, “YouKnowWhat,Nothing”, or whoever, the leopard’s spots could not be changed. It was BA all the way. At least she stepped out of the shadows and identified herself.

So how about this, Mr. John Sullivan, a couple direct questions to you…
• Who were you on POF? What were all your user names on POF?
• Which of the previous posts in this thread are yours?

I was best known as “Mr_J_Cash” on POF. Also posted under “Mr_Jackazz_Cash” (which is the name I used during my last tiff with DD), “JCash”,” BUCKEYE CASH”, “Columbus Jay”, and a few others but best known as Mr_J_Cash. That is the name I used to delete Frank with the last several times he was nuked. I think I used that name eight to ten times, or more, in the last five or six years.

That is my self-disclosure.

No problem and yes the forums are moderated. The forum uses bbcode and it was just messed up a little bit in your previous post.

As an anonymous user you should have been able to edit the post for a short while (like a regular logged in user).

There is a planned forum update late this year with a few fixes and new features. I will add the editing of posts for anonymous users to be checked to make sure it is working.

Oh, Miss A, I'm not really balding. I was getting tired of my long, thick curly hair, so I put on a wig cap and put on a shiny, synthetic straight blonde wig. Unfortunately, it slipped back a little. My neon blue eyeshadow, overplucked brows, and down-turned heavy black eyeliner does draw attention to my eyes, though, don't you think?

And yes, I agree that the things said about kj were not nice, and were untrue---brought about by jealousy, no doubt.

It has been a long time since I posted a Friday morning rant. The last one was on POF and directed at DD.
So, here goes…

The conspiracy reference in my post on page seven was actually intended for the user who went by overunity. You know, overunity as in free energy. Those people tend to run in the same crowds as the conspiracists and other lunatic fringe groups. However, look who, from that lunatic fringe, first responded!

First off, I have no problem engaging with Blondie in spite of the fact she opened her second of two consecutive replies to my posts with “I am not interested in engaging w/ socks... “ followed immediately by “And...your audience is gone” along with other references to my prior two posts making it crystal clear that she is absolutely engaging with me. I will compose this post as a post about statements made and not directly to/at her. Regardless, if she has anything to say about it or tries to dispute anything I state let it be clear to her, anyone and everyone who reads those replies she makes will know that she is clearly and undeniably engaging with me just as I am now engaging with her ….. thinly disguised.

I originally thought that Blondie called me a sock puppet of KJ as a trolling tactic to try to get under my skin. As I stated when she posted that, I laughed aloud at the absurdity. It still make me chuckle when I think of it. Now though I am not so sure it was trolling. I think she has deluded herself into thinking that she is stating a fact. I truly think she suffers from Delusional Disorder to the degree of a diminishing of her quality of life.

A note about pointing out my spelling blunder. Spell correct on phones trips us all up at times. HINT: If you do not see the ~ J $ ~ at the end of my posts it is likely because they were posted from my phone that does not have a tilde on its keyboard. Nevertheless, the autocorrect may have been a more accurate statement than the correct spelling. The word bate can be used to intend obvious, or being blunt, or even an angry statement or mood (The best fitting I think considering who pointed it out.) So reread the statement with using these meanings of the word my phone decided to insert.

I first thought that the user going by “Cat” might have been Miss A. However, she also spells her name with one “L” (Alison). I attempted to contact this “Cat” thru the message system on this site to ask if she was possibly Miss Allison from POF. Later an email from the mailer demon showed up in my inbox. It was a delivery failure for the message I sent thru this site. It had the original message I sent along with the email address it was sent to. The email recipients address was allison*****@********.com - with two “L’s” - followed by the statement “Requested action not taken: mailbox unavailable”. (The actual email address was shown in full, I edited it here for privacy sake.) That email address with two “L’s” made me wonder about the possibilities. “Cat” has not posted since my posts requesting that she and others reveal their POF personas.

Then later there was the posted reply by the moderator named Alison to my comment about site moderation. I found it ironic that it was the moderator’s first post ever and that it was a moderator using the name Alison in this POF thread.

I knew that a reference to the former POF moderator Miss Allison was likely stir things up and get a response. It was no surprise when I saw that the first person to float up was Blondie. There was extreme hatred between her and Allison. Both ways.

Miss Allison should know better by now. Way back, just after she quit as the last POF moderator, there was an extensive thread about her and the other moderators leaving POF. In that thread she and some of her “friends” posted links to screen shots of communication between her and other moderators doing battle and swapping insults and name calling along with copies of emails between her and Markus with Miss Allison wanting to get *cowboy* removed as a moderator. There was some vile stuff in some of those screen shots and emails. I would have to dig thru old emails but somewhere I have copies of the emails between Markus and Allison about *cowboy* that Allison forwarded to me (after she quit as a moderator) during non-POF correspondence. It was those emails that that concerned me about her and caused me to break off communication with her. By the way, she also told me that Markus never had moderators sign a non-disclosure agreement. Probably a foolish neglect on his part. I closed my then POF account right afterwards and quit responding to her emails.

A year or so later in the tribute to *cowboy* thread after Mark’s death was announced Allison returned to the forums as Miss Allison and made a tribute post about how much she liked Mark and his commitment to POF and the POF forums and what good friends they were. I called her out, referenced those screen shots, and linked to the thread that had the links she and her friends posted to them. She pulled down those pages right afterwards to hide the evidence.

By the way, that really pissed off KJ. She was personal friends with both Mark (*cowboy*) and Allison. KJ later became friendly with me during the thread I called delete-fest about a year later. (That is the thread that Blondie is referring to where AusiNancy (Or something like that) posted the photo of Allison holding a piece of paper up calling Frank an idiot.) KJ did remind me more than once how pissed she was that I used Mark’s tribute thread to call out Allison. I just thought that Allison’s guilt driven hypocrisy in her tribute post could not be ignored.

Allison and Blondie’s hatred towards each other go way back. Allison started using her moderators “tools” as Yoshie, Ed Jacobs, and The Wizard after quitting as an authorized moderator. I have plenty of antidotal proof along with a few emails. After she got Tall IQ kicked off and he gave up returning, Allison started attacking Blondie. I do not recall all of here attempts since so many people disliked Blondie and attacked her but I do remember a few. The one username she attacked Blondie with that sticks out was Tall I Spew Poo. Only because of how disgusting the name was.

Allison has posted some vile things here too. Neither she nor Blondie are blameless and both should be shamed for their actions. My opinion.

So, not bad for my first Friday morning rant in what, six months? (If I say so myself)

Now, if they have not closed this thread it is time to hit submit and see if it posts.

Too much for me to follow cash. I never liked Blondie primarily because she was an enemy of kj and crook. She clearly has issues, but not my problem. Allison I remember as giving unwarranted timeouts but far better than the free for all after the moderators left. I really only had maybe two friends on the board, and politics eventually came between us...yes I despise trump that much. I actually learned quite a bit from the boards through the discussions, but found the politics far more interesting than the dating side. I've been married a longtime and the boards convinced me being married was better than being single and dealing with everything single people deal with. I'm not sure if there are any other boards at all similar to what pof was. If there were, wish I could find them. I've never bothered looking at other dating forums.

Not now, not yet. I just don't have the energy to engage over there. BA coming here reminded me of what goes on there. And i surprisingly have not missed those boards. I think partially because i am so disappointed in some who are so conservative and into trumpism, don't really want to bother with them.

As far as BA is concerned, in her mind she's the victim. She's not introspective enough to realize that she's the instigator. The unprovoked attacks on kj and Miss A are good examples. That type of behavior is not permitted over there. The boards are moderated.

Same here ata. I bored quickly reading threads and found myself surfing through the boards just looking for / trying to identify former POF forum members.

I thought that I might have found our old friend Frank. Couldn't swear to it though. Wasn't quite obnoxious enough to convince mw. But I only saw a couple posts by that user name and it was listed as a deleted member.

ata will need to tell you if he ever Sailinges. He likely had over 100, 200, or more names he posted under at POF. He would get deleted and be right back with a new name only to get deleted after a few posts. For a long time his user names all ended with the three letters 'ata'.

Dan you have a very good memory. Who were you there?

Yes, I started out as Sailenges (something like that) and it was when that alias was first terminated due to my playing with the feminism issue that things went downhill (and actually, I was always far from anti feminist...heck I could have cared less about feminism).

In a sense, my constantly coming back was not only because I enjoyed posting on POF, I actually did have a few friends there, but due to an obstinate attitude...after helping to rid the site of Valkano and Motown Cowgirl? helping get rid of tall, which I laughed about, it became a game.

I was easily amused there.....what can I say :-)

So again, who were you or are you? There are very few people who would have remembered I was Sailinger, which makes me wonder.............Male or female???

I have to assume Mr. Druff was a regular on POF and has been on on Frivolity for a while. There are maybe two people who would have remembered I was sailinges, and I am one of them.

I remember motown cowgirl constantly calling me a troll and then leading a posse of women to delete me, and all because she didn't like my opinions. I still remember what a b^tch she was, why i finally lowered myself to her level and retaliated, got rid of her for good. Her and valkano two peas in a pod. And when valkano was finally terminated she came back to batch about it and was terminated again. They started the whole troll accusations and took it among themselves to police the boards how they chose.

Jackal, Tall IQ had a habit of contacting posters to get them to report people he didn't like. The reason I know this is because he contacted me, asking me to report you back when you were sailinges. For the record, I didn't jump on the bandwagon. I never clashed with you and had no inclination to report you. I think Tall was the leader of the nuking posse.

But Sailinges was pretty harmless...it was only after Sailinges was deleted and a few other profiles that I turned against the board leaders...at least that is how I recall it.

I guess I am surprised Tall would have been involved, especially when it was apparent the women leaders of the board, Motown etc. did not like me.

Right, that was her name, Literate Hiker. I actually felt bad for her...she had some significant issues....I would bet she is still single and still looking for the perfect guy. I gave her a hard time but only because many of her stories were so easily disputed.

Nevertheless, the autocorrect may have been a more accurate statement than the correct spelling. The word bate can be used to intend obvious, or being blunt, or even an angry statement or mood (The best fitting I think considering who pointed it out.) So reread the statement with using these meanings of the word my phone decided to insert.

I first thought that the user going by “Cat” might have been Miss A. However, she also spells her name with one “L” (Alison). I attempted to contact this “Cat” thru the message system on this site to ask if she was possibly Miss Allison from POF. Later an email from the mailer demon showed up in my inbox. It was a delivery failure for the message I sent thru this site. It had the original message I sent along with the email address it was sent to. The email recipients address was allison*****@********.com - with two “L’s” - followed by the statement “Requested action not taken: mailbox unavailable”. (The actual email address was shown in full, I edited it here for privacy sake.) That email address with two “L’s” made me wonder about the possibilities. “Cat” has not posted since my posts requesting that she and others reveal their POF personas. [BLA BLA BLA]

There was some vile stuff in some of those screen shots and emails. I would have to dig thru old emails but somewhere I have copies of the emails between Markus and Allison about *cowboy* that Allison forwarded to me (after she quit as a moderator) during non-POF correspondence. [THAT WAS VERY UNPROFESSIONAL OF HER, SHE WAS A MOD & USING THAT POSITION TO CAUSE MAYHEM IS A HUGE NO NO. IN FACT SHE PUT POF, MARKUS & THE MATCH GROUP IN LEGAL JEOPARDY BY DOING SO. I AM SURE SEVERAL LAWS WERE BROKEN]It was those emails that that concerned me about her and caused me to break off communication with her. By the way, she also told me that Markus never had moderators sign a non-disclosure agreement. A year or so later in the tribute to *cowboy* thread after Mark’s death was announced Allison returned to the forums as Miss Allison and made a tribute post about how much she liked Mark and his commitment to POF and the POF forums and what good friends they were. [THAT WAS TRUE, I RECALL POSTING IN THERE ABOUT PPL SPEAKING OUT OF BOTH SIDES OF THEIR MOUTHS] I called her out, referenced those screen shots, and linked to the thread that had the links she and her friends posted to them. She pulled down those pages right afterwards to hide the evidence.[GOOD 4 U- ALSO ANOTHER PERSON WHO CLAIMED TO BE A FRIEND WAS LYING BIG TIME- HE HAD CONFIDED TO ME VIA EMAIL ABOUT A CERTAIN SITUATION]

By the way, that really pissed off KJ. She was personal friends with both Mark (*cowboy*) and Allison. KJ later became friendly with me during the thread I called delete-fest about a year later. (That is the thread that Blondie is referring to where AusiNancy (Or something like that) posted the photo of Allison holding a piece of paper up calling Frank an idiot.) [I REALLY THOUGHT SOMEONE FAKED THAT PIC TO THROW ALLISON UNDER THE BUS, I THOUGHT SOMEONE ELSE WAS DOING ALL THE NONSENSE & THEN SAYING IT WAS ALLISON- I DO NOT EVER RECALL TRASHING HER IN ANY POST ON THE POF FORUM] KJ did remind me more than once how pissed she was that I used Mark’s tribute thread to call out Allison. Allison and Blondie’s hatred towards each other go way back. [NO- I NEVER HATED HER- WHY? BA, it is clear that you have been stalking Miss Allison on YouTube all this time or you wouldn't have found the video in the first place. Regardless of whether or not you fat-shamed her, your intent was clearly meant to embarass her; there was no other reason for you to post that video. It's the same thing when you went after kj in out of the blue because some male posters were talking about her. I think you're jealous of other women who get attention and somehow feel threatened by them. Perhaps you need to look inward and find out why that is.

Miss Allison had been gone from POF for at least five years now, and you're clearly holding onto some type of unhealthy grudge against her. Your anger is obvious to all. She was just minding her own business and enjoying her life, when you, out of the blue, decided to poke fun at her by posting that video. No, Miss Allison doesn't hate you. I don't think she gives a rat sh** about you.

I popped in here Friday. Blondie had not posted her responses to my Friday Rant yet but I did notice that she changed her picture.
This morning I popped in and see that there has been active moderation in this thread. I skimmed back thru looking for more signs of moderation.
• Blondie’s post with the link to Miss A’s smashing video was removed yet Miss A’s link to her shameful video is still up.
o I’m not sure why Blondie’s link was taken down since the video itself has been made private so the link is virtually dead. Unless that is the reason, a dead link, and not because of the intent of posting the link.
• The avatar Miss A (or possibly but unlikely one of her friends/supporters) put up under the user name HalcyonSkies has been taken down.
• The post by notasock to shame Blondie with alternative derogatory names was removed
• The post by LondonKnight had the sex shaming line removed, as it should have been.

This morning I also saw Blondie’s reply to my rant with her predictable self-contradictions along with the fact that her photo is now non-existent. Removed by moderators or herself? Impossible to say. Or prove.

ata, I never knew you as Sailings. If I saw some of the posts under that name it may kick up some memories but that is not possible now.

I truly do not understand why people are so afraid of revealing who they were on POF when they are posting memories of the POF forums, talk about other posters and comment on them, but refuse to say whom they were. Other than shame and/or embarrassment and/or a baseless fear, I cannot fathom why. I don’t really care other than it just fascinates me that you are all so afraid to say who you were. (Not a response to the previous post, but I do not see where I post a response to the thread in general).

Well, that took forever.

The PoF forums were little more that an echo chamber for the far-less-than adequate "moderators". If you wrote things that they did not want to hear, regardless of how well written or founded, they would delete it. If you questioned them, they would ban you.

A small group of regular sycophants controlled the dialogue.

As unemotional as The Collective is, we are very elated that the pile of rubbish called, "Plenty of FIsh Forums" is now removed from the public space. Since leaving that pitiful arena at least 8 years ago, we have been very happy posting on many other forums.

I used to post write and post poetry on the Pof poetry forum and its the only place alot of my poems
are now because i went and destroyed my collection at home going though are bad rough spell.
I've tried to find them but cant when i manage to get on there once as i couldnt get any searches to work
and they are in massive threads lost maybe for all time. Anyone got any ideas how i could get them back
at all?

I stand corrected. I was thinking Carla was from Tampa Bay. Seeing the tag 'Curiousindb' jogged my memory that she was from Daytona Beach. DB, not TB. I remember her talking about race week.

I hope she got her meds adjusted. Or just got back on them. She really went around the bend during and after the "tall thread".

The "J" is not for Johnny or John but an understandable assumption. I have a cousin Joel Cash, and an uncle Jim Cash. We all have the initials JC but none of us claim to be Jesus Christ. At least not that I know of.

Who here is bragging about closing the POF forums?? Are you referring to my commenting on ata bragging about causing them to shut down? That was a tongue-in-cheek comment about his arrogance I made to KJ (Kim) in an email. I mentioned the conversation here and ata took it as a serious comment. I’m pretty sure ata is a man, Kim told me she met him and said that in person he was very different than his POF forums persona.

Cash started this thread to announce that POF closed the forums. See the very first post.

Cash was an absolute turd on POF, but I never remember him complaining about the forums to the point of harassing POF / Match into closing them. Not one poster had that kind of influence. Even though Tall would like to have thought he did.

I actually met Cash. I hired his consulting firm out if Columbus Ohio. It was over 10 years ago. I ended up being sorry that I met him. He had some good people working for him, but he was, like I said, a real turd and just as condescending as his POF persona.

Cash often answered questions or gave help to people on the POF forums who had issues. It was common that it was condescending smack-down replies to people who made stupid complaints and rants, but it was also often accurate. One thing I can most assuredly tell you (whether or not you are BA) he is a man, not a woman. He and I ended up bumping heads often on the POF forums.

So who is this ”she” you are referring to?

I was ForumLurker on POF by the way.

This hoźe job is a typical forum poster/troll. And not even a good one. Just another one of us everyday trolls.

Even though hoźe job accuses others of having issues and not being able to break away from the POF forums hoźe job has posted quite a few of their own issues that they have not gotten over. And keeps coming back, reading, and replying to posts.

The biggest thing that got me from hoźe job’s posts was how many people claim to be ‘friends’ of the famous (or infamous if you prefer) KJ. And all the different stories they tell about who she liked and didn’t like. ATA claims to have met her. Lurker claims extensive contacts with her and seems to confirm that she has met ATA in person. I never remember Lurker claiming to have actually met her. I have had numerous contacts with her but only on the POF forums and thru the POF messaging system. (Plus a posting on her thread in these forums and one post replying to a post of hers on the Frivolity Boards.)

Another thing hoźe job. You also claim to have personal contact with Oto. Oto, by the way, was the most knowledgeable and informative (non-administration) person on the workings of the POF dating site and the POF forums. And you say he gave you ‘secrets’ about “what was going on”? I find that doubtful. He posted in the Tall thread what Tall was posting to the moderator thread that was supposedly only visible to moderators. Some how he hacked into that, but I never saw anything he posted about “what was going on”. So if you got any more firsthand info from Oto it had to be in a personal contact.

One more thing, I do not like ATA much, nor dose he me. He has it in his head that I am Tall. So be it. He is not Carla though. That I am sure of. If you are such good friends with Kim ask her. I know that she has met Carla. They are both from the same general area of Florida. There used to be a lot of POF get togethers in that area of Florida. My memory is a bit fogy, but I think Kim and Carla used to attend some of the same ones. I also know that a lot of the POF forum posters would get together and party in Florida. Again, a fogy memory recalls that Carla was at some of them. Kim has also apparently met ATA. So ask her if they are one in the same.

I have nothing against you Cash, certainly don't dislike you. There were actually very few posters I disliked from POF (Jovan and Cotter being two of them), I don't even dislike Hopeless. I just accept that he is a mentally ill individual whom KJ attempted to help.

I didn't even really dislike tall other than the fact he, as I understand it, was instrumental with my profiles being nuked. He, Motown, Valcano, Blondie, etc., as well as a possee of other disturbed women who went after me for not liking my opinions. I in the end won out and they all disappeared, except for Blondie, who still rears her head.

Yes I did meet with KJ and we got along very well, although of course when we met it was simply as friends. Our politics are definitely the opposite though and it is difficult for me to accept a person who is kind and caring being such a cheerleader for a President who is the exact opposite, although we still occasionally message each other. I still do not understand why she did not attempt to explain herself and her positions to Hawk, but maybe she tried and he was just not going to accept her explanations. Hawk knew, as do any of us, that one of the big appeals by Trump to his base is he is a racist, and so are many of them.

I am guessing after your vehement denials that you were not Tall and I told you I accept that. And even if you were, those are days from long ago.

As for my being Carla at the suggestion of the mentally ill Hopeless, i don't recall ever reading a post from Carla. She was before my time. .

I guess some things never change.

I will say that I read El Hozel’s post (that Cash quoted those two lines from and commented on) pretty much the same way that turd Cash did. I read that post as El Hozel stating, among other things, that certain posters here were unable to move past the POF boards and their issues there. I read it as El Hozel saying that he had been able to separate from those feelings and shortcomings and was leaving these boards to those posters and signing off with best wishes for certain other posters, who, by the way, are not posting in these forums. Certainly not this thread where he addressed them.

Cash, I never spoke directly to Kim. I never even emailed her outside the POF messaging system. She gave me her email address, but I never used it and have since lost track of it. She did invite me to come to her place and cook for her if I was ever in central Florida. We had an opportunity to go for a coffee or a drink just to meet each other in March 2019 when I was in the Orlando area before a cruse but my limited time and my schedule with family while there precluded it from happening.

ATA is not Carla. I do not remember ATA being around or posting to that “Tall IQ thread” that keeps being mentioned. That was where Carla made the biggest splash on the forums. It is where she, as Cash said, so publicly ‘went around the bend’. I believe ATA that he never interacted with her thus does not have personal knowledge of her or her shenanigans. That is the reason I am totally befuddled as to why someone would think that trolling him by calling him Carla would strike a nerve. (????) Pretty lame trolling if you were to ask me.

Forum Lurker, you probably know this, but if not, you can still find KJ and a number of others on the Frivolity Boards (part of the pro-boards or something like that). You actually have to register to access the Serious discussions thread where we argued mainly politics.

It was virtually everybody there being a Trump supporter against me, being very anti trump. Skies, who has posted here, and I constantly got into it with each other.

To the credit of the mods over there, also former POFers, they did not ban posters simply because they did not like the poster or his opinion, so I was allowed to post freely until the Biden win, after which I voluntarily left. I just wanted to put these last four years of the trump nightmare behind me and leaving those boards was a necessity to do that. Otherwise they kind of drew me in, what with all of the opinions I completely disagreed with.

Now I am avoiding the News as much as possible, reading some good books and trading stocks. I may be back someday to argue with other posters, but right now even the thought of doing so drains me of energy.....I am much happier spending my time doing other things.

So, ATA, who are, or were, you over on Frivolity? I have a guess but would like to know for sure. I registered there as Antagonizer but only have a few posts. I’m pretty sure that I have told you before that I consider myself a staunch republican but was also as staunch a ‘never-Trumper’. The republican party that I have backed for my entire adult life no longer exists. I’m not quite sure what it has become but it ceased being my Republican party within a month of Trump’s election and the refusal of all the republicans yelling to never let him get the nomination doing such an about face.

Anyway, I could only read a few posts on Frivolity before I was fed up with reading their ‘sheep following a delusional shepherd’ dribble. I would just log out. There is no reasoning with people who have an incomprehensible love for a conspiracy spewing cult leader. Then I gave it to him. Hoźe job was one of three who then went after me saying why would I stay away for two years and come back and brag about eliminating Frank? I think he was one of the only posters that didn’t hate Frank.

The only person I had a bigger distain for on POF was Cotter, or something like that. She was absolutely abrasive. She was proudly a Democrat from Columbus and was possibly even more obnoxious than Frank. I posted a different opinion than hers once, without attacking her. She went after what I said and my character for saying it. I replied and mentioned about being an Ohio Republican and she decided to attack me and my character just on that bit of information. I remember exactly what She stated in her reply. “ An Ohio Republican? I know exactly what that means. That is all I need to know about you.” Talk about a POF turd. Also not necessarily interested in emailing Kim. We used to message on the POF site and joked around mostly, but didn’t really have an actual friendship. She had told me that if I was ever in the Orlando area that it would be nice to meet another POF forums user. When I told het that I was going on a cruse and would be in Orlando for a day before she sent me her email address. It was obvious that our schedules would not work out to meet for a coffee. I never used the email and since it was on my POF messages it is long gone. Lurker, I still think KJ is a very nice person, she was the only person who defended me early on the Pof boards when the Posses started going after me.

But I have to admit that at this point we are simply too far apart politically to be friends. She thinks Trump was one of the greatest Presidents ever. I think him the worst.

Its really difficult for me to understand her mind-set...because I just don't see how there is any rational debate on how objectively bad Trump is. I see Trump as so indecent, so cruel, that I see anybody supporting him as supporting indecency and cruelty.

Then there are their rationalizations and excuses for everything Trump does. Their gas lighting, their denial of actual facts, their buying into Trumponian conspiracy theories.

Yet, he still got 70 million plus votes.....

So what do you do when half the country lives in a different reality than your own reality?

Anyway, if you write her or speak to her, tell her I said Hi... I doubt we will be communicating with each other again.

I am basing my suspicions not only on Blondies personality disabilities but also on the following:
• Blondie just posted another photo. So, she was just on these boards.
• She keeps updating her photo but makes anonymous posts when she is on.
• She is too chickenshit to post under her profile name ever since KJ challenged her to a one-on-one discussion about Bloodies accusations in this thread and the thread KJ started.
• The bouncing angle Mood emoji she put under the user name. She has used that emoji in several of her posts.
• Her references to: 1) legacy of sock puppets… 2) bad photoshopping… and 3) the disappointment in the men she (KJ) fooled and were forced to leave POF. They are all accusations she has made in previous posts under her name not to mention all overt the former POF forums.

My ex wife would do that. We would be driving down the road having a conversation about what ever and she would just say something like ‘that is fake water’. I was like WTF? Here she was referring to something she saw a mile or more back on a billboard I didn’t even notice. Or she would diverge off topic in a conversation without any reason and start talking about something completely unrelated that happened weeks ago. She would do things like that without a pause in the sentence she was speaking. It got to the point where I never knew where she was going in a conversation or what the hell she was talking about. And her anger grew over time denying she was doing it. She would start yelling at me to pay attention and get pissed off if I asked her what the hell she was talking about.

Often she would just start, without warning, speaking out loud what she was thinking and then denied she said anything when I would say “what??”.

Her denial and anger both grew over time. She refused to do anything about it saying there was nothing wrong since I was lying about it. She left me and the boys and filed for divorce. It saved me the hassle of doing it so I was not opposed.

I wonder how a conversation between her and Hoźe job would go? It would probably be akin to listening to my Father who had dementia having quite a conversation with another man suffering the same. It was quite an animated conversation. One would say or ask something and the other would reply. The only thing was, neither one was talking about the same thing. My father was rambling about the Cleveland Indians memories of his childhood mixed with comments on plays from the game the day before and the other guy was talking about paving roads or concrete or something. But they were both very involved and enjoying the conversation and each other’s company.

Yep. My alarm is set to 3:10 AM. Even on non-working days that I do not use it I am awake and up well before 4 AM. That post was closer to 5:20 AM Ohio time. I’m not sure where this forum office is located or what time zone they use to time stamp.

I had a lot of reports to finish and send to clients who’s work week ended today. This morning I was having my second cup of coffee and online by 3:45 sending the first report. I wanted to get a little earlier start today so that I could start my family Holiday a little earlier with my wife and five kids if you must know.

It looks like I was wrong about my posting time vs the time stamp. My last post was time stamped 8:31 PM and that is accurate to ‘Ohio time’. So apparently I did post at 4:20 AM and I stand corrected. But I still fail to see how that amazes you. Unless you think that I got up early yesterday just to post to this meaningless forum. Far from it. I was up working, but then I explained that earlier.

Oh, and just so you know, it is about 6:15. I have been up since 3:10 preparing for the thanksgiving dinner. No, I saw that. It was just more gibberish. That name appears nowhere else in this thread that I can remember. And no, I’m not going to go back and search for it. I’ll let you find it and point it out if it is there. So, it was meaningless to everybody reading it if you do not identify them somehow. Also that name doesn’t strike a bell from the POF forums either as a famous or infamous poster.

Now about your becoming the grammar czar…
First off, a czar should be careful throwing stones. The czar should be sure that all his writing is grammatically perfect otherwise people will be quick to point out all of his typos including missed apostrophes, misspellings, and incorrect usage of homonyms to name a few.

I could argue that my faux pas was autocorrect but I would be lying since I am not posting from my phone and this site is not using autocorrect.

I am dyslectic. Besides having one of the most common symptoms of dyslexia, misspelling and not recognizing many misspelled words, I have some other quarks of dyslexia. When writing I tend to randomly drop the last letter of many words (usually an “s”) and double the last letter of others. Looks becomes look, hats becomes hat, anywhere becomes anywher, reading becomes readin, yes becomes yess, spoonful becomes spoonfull, Etc.

Dyslexia is something I was born with but have overcome the obstacles is poses. This is evidenced by the fact that I have created and sold two successful business and am running my third successful business. Also by my beautiful wife, both physically and emotionally, and our five children.

I am used to people pointing out my spelling flubs. I have noticed that in forums they are pointed out by people who could not argue the validity of my postings/points so were left with just playing grammar czar in an attempt to belittle me. Dose not bother me. In fact just the opposite, it proved that they failed to successfully argue their point.

What don’t you get? I do not go an any golf courses unless it was for a photo shoot. It is a game that I find a total bore (was that the correct word?). You, and millions of Americans enjoy it. Good for you. But why would you try to convince me that I am doing it wrong? And why the *censored* would I spend $100 on a round or take lessons? Again a total yawn fest. Do not play it. Do not watch it. Do not have 20 magazine subscriptions dedicated to it. All a total waist of my time.

Again, good for you that you enjoy it. But why would you try to impress me with why it is enjoyable and that I must be doing it wrong??? Maybe if I yell this it might sink in a little…

I asked you to point out the tautological faux pas in that short sentence about photography. There was a minor technical mistake but there was nothing tautological. I asked you to point out a tautological in that sentence to see if 10 you have any knowledge of DSLR photography and is so 2) what was tautological in that statement. You refused to point it out. In stead you deflect to a scatterbrained statement that would sound clever to just you.

Do me a favor, stop thinking that your gibberish scatterbrained replies are cute and clever, and just answer a simple question. Think you can manage that? But ATA, I'm having so much fun with him! I haven't had someone so delusional of there own imagined intelligence take me on since DD Sterile. (Hey Hoźe job, there is something in that sentence that you can use as an example of tautological) I'll eventually tire of him. You know, kind of like a little kid torturing a fly by pulling it's wings and leg off one at a time until it just sits there unable to do anything.

My only clear memories of him from POF other than you two going at it so hard, was when he was posting as 8 inch screw, or something like that, in the Troll Wars thread where everybody was dropping like flies. Every day there were posters disappearing. His attacks were non-stop; until he too was deleted. Eventually POF closed the thread and even did the unusual step of deleting it.

That thread was shortly after the Tall IQ thread was closed (but never deleted). I believe it was about a year after the Tall thread. That was the thread that Blondie first accused KJ of editing and posting a photo of Miss A holding a sign that called frank an idiot. KJ was just re-posting that photo that AusiNancy originally posted in the Tall thread.

I am almost positive that was the thread where KJ was deleted for the first time. I was deleted during it twice. Frank was deleted in it. Followed by applause by many. I believe AusyNancy was there and deleted. April white rose, or something like that, was deleted too. The list went on. Probably at least twenty deletions during that thread before POF shut it down.

Oh, those were the days.

If you expect to be understood then you should refer to people by their correct usernames, not Ms. Reynolds or Charlie's ex old lady. Incidentally, Charlie was very selective about his Angels and wouldn't have chosen BA as one of them.

J Cash already explained that he had Dyslexia, which is a plausable explanation for why he misspells common words. You're just making yourself look like an ignorant ass by repeatedly suggesting that English isn't his native tongue. And I believe it was you on page 13, who first suggested that others in here need to take medication. It would appear that you can dish it out but can't take it.

In all fairness I actually mentioned something about Carla, A.K.A. Curiousindb, having possibly been off her meds during the “TallIQ” thread and going around the bend. Several posts before Hoźe job mentioned meds. Again, in interest of fairness, yes, even to him.

If the site can deal with the loss of click-revenue that this thread creates it would not surprise me if they completely deleted it.

When they locked it the first time late Sept. 2019, there were between 120 and 130 posts and just short of 9,000 hits, or views. When it had been locked for 3-1/2 months it was at just short of 16,000 hits. Another 7,000 + hits in less than 4 months, and again, it was locked from replies/posts.

When they reopened the thread to replies/posts on about June 1, 2020, it was about 20,000 hits. So, far more hits in the eight months it was locked than the first five months that it was an open thread.

Today it is closing in on 200 posts (180 posts) and 27,100 hits. This is about 40 or so posts and a little short of 2,500 hits in the last two weeks. This thread is in the top ten threads (No 8) on the site for number of posts.

So, we’ll see if the site will leave this thread open and continue the large hit quantity (aka revenue) with all the shitslinging, or lock it so that it is still there for people to read – thus allowing a diminished hit count but still collect revenue, or completely delete it.

I will share the blame mainly with Blondie and her delusional paranoid disorders. Also, with Miss Allison’s video link. BA had posted a private video of her and her sister, which has since been removed. Both attacks by BA were unprovoked. Some other posters dressed her down in defense of KJ and Miss A.

There was a regular poster on the POF forum that was not one of the most popular posters, was not one who had a posy of friends to back him up in arguments, he was not one who had a list of enemies but did have a few. He was not afraid to confront people posting falsehoods and fallacies or senseless statements just to provoke others. His username on POF was Bobby Z Man. Most people referred to him simply as Bobby.

Bobby was arguably one of the top knowledgeable and helpful posters with accurate information on the POF forums about the working of the dating site and the forums. Personally, I would say second only to Oto who was undoubtedly the most knowledgeable in those things.

Bobby Z Man also possessed a profound ability for observation as well as a philosophical sense of fairness.

Bobby passed away. I remember it being announced on the POF forums. There were several who posted condolences and expressed sorrow. In some ways it was a surprising few who mentioned him after his passing, and in other ways it was also impressive how many did. Even thought he was a frequent poster, he was not one to carry out an excessive chat with someone.

Bobby typically answered someone’s question and that was it. Occasionally someone would troll him and he would feed the troll and play for a while. Frank and Awsome50man were the most prolific trollers of Bobby Z Man. At least the two I remember.

Why am I gushing on about Bobby Z Man? Bobby clearly won every troll argument usually by turning their own words on them or he didn’t say anything. This infuriated the trolls. He usually ended those trolling spats by putting in a quote something like this… A wise man once wrote that the bigger person in a senseless argument is the next to last one to make their point. So, for now xxxxx, you are the bigger man.”

That wasn’t an exact quote but close enough to get the point. I am curious to see, based on the above Bobby Z Man line, who wins the bigger man award, pulls up their big boy pants, and puts an end to this crap-fest. Cash or El hozel? Or will this thread be closed and settle it for good?

I really don't care about Hopeless one way or the other. As for the dating side of the boards...so much bitterness but lots of good advice too. In the end, I really did not find them very interesting, I suppose because dating and understanding the opposite sex has not been one of my concerns for 34 years now. It was fun tangling with people though, and I will always remember Motown Cowgirl as being worthy of contempt. When somebody recently remarked she was a lawyer, I finally got the full picture about who she was.

I do want to comment on the frivolity boards, The only place I posted was on the serious discussion thread. I found it to be a hot bed of pro-trump posting. I cannot overstate how much contempt I have for Trump because it is so obvious about who and what he is. I could never understand how otherwise rational people could support the man.

I learned through that there really are two alternative worlds. The real one, the one I live in and the alternative reality world, the one Trump and his supporters live.

Seeing what these people bought into was eye-opening. I mean there is a video of Trump mocking a disabled reporter and yet these people deny it ever happened. They make excuses for doing horrible things to other people. His insults, his firing people left and right because they don't tell him what he wants to hear, his separating babies from their moms and then losing track of where over 500 of the parents are. His destruction of regulations helping to keep our air and water safe. His indecency and his pathological lying. His claiming real news was fake news and fake news, conspiracy theories were real news and on and on and on. Even now I have no doubt these people believe that the election was stolen from Trump.

Eventually I realized that spending too much time arguing with these people was damaging to the Soul, which is why I chose to get away.

The point is these are the people who make up half our country. And these are the people who make up half of the participants on message boards.

That being the case, it is impossible...given the huge chasms between the characters of people and the way people view the world that there are ever going to be smooth sailing on any message boards.

Even the finance boards, where you would think that giving opinions about stocks to buy would be simple...and yet even there people start blasting each other.

Its just the way of the world it seems.

Makes me glad that my wife is not political and does not bother with message boards....Life is far more peaceful that way.

I remember Bobby. He was an engineering manager then a plant manager for a DOD contract manufacturer in the Cleveland area. I have not herd his name or thought of him in a long time.

I liked him. A real straight shooter. Sharp as a tack too.

His passing was announced in the Tall thread. Lurker, he and KJ were pretty close if you didn’t know. KJ took the news hard. Her emotions were apparent in her postings for a while after the announcement. If I remember correctly, she said farewell in the Tall thread and then quit posting to it. There were several threads where his passing was talked about but mostly in the Tall thread. I think there were about ten posts then the thread took of on another tangent.

What was really strange though was that Carla also posted about being close to him. But then again, that was Carla posting. She was out of touch with reality.

Both those ATA threads, the old one and the one he just created, deal with Trump hating. They mention the Frivolity site. But both of his OPs center on anti-Trump vs Right Wingers and Pro-trump.

So, I fail to see how I changed the subject. (???) But you are correct, they probably won’t nudge them because other than this thread politics are not a hot topic on here. Like I mentioned before, it will take some more posts with some opposing views. Pro-Trump vs anti-Trump will always be kindling for a flame war. It just takes a little fanning to get the embers fired up. Then we may see the flames. May not either. Not the audience here. Yet.

It sure got quiet around here with Cash and El hozel not flinging the poo at each other anymore. Thanks, Cash, for slamming the brakes on that. For whatever reason. It is good to see it end and you not taking the bait to react. It truly was getting quite tiresome.
Cash, try to keep it that way, OK?

Those two political (+ Frivolity) threads started by ATA were interesting. Not for what they say, more for the site actually starting a political category by moving the older post there as the first (and only) thread. The site also started another thread by moving the newer one also posted here to the user reviews.

The site is obviously willing to have political arguments since they created a topic for it over a year ago and started the first (and again, only) thread by moving ATA’s post there. I agree with both Judi and Cash though that they will never get traction. Consider that other than Cash posting those links earlier in this thread then posting to each one of them the other day, it has been completely ignored.

I have to agree with what El hozel replied about ATA’s statement. When I read it I couldn’t help but think ‘He posted way back in the beginning of this thread that he wasn’t going to join Frivolity because he was tired of the arguing and the energy it required of him on the POF forum. Then he apparently joined Frivolity and had been a super poster (from what I have read here and been told by someone who is a member there) spewing anti Trump hatred.

Either he deleted his profile there or just quit posting. He has stated here since then that now that Biden defeated Trump he doesn’t have the energy to continue the argument. Then several times since has posted his anti-Trump hatred. He keeps saying he dose not have the energy and yet keeps up the rhetoric.

Do not get me wrong, I cannot stand Trump either. It is that you cannot blame someone for pointing out the hypocrisy of repeatedly stating “I don’t have the energy but Trump is a big…….” Again and again.

As El hozel stated in an earlier post, ‘not trying to start a flame war’, just pointing it out.

El hozel, you have made a lot of statements about your nemeses not comprehending. I have to agree with them that your logic and offhand roundabout comments without a point of reference is extremely difficult to follow and comprehend. It may be a symptom of your being on the spectrum, but you seriously need to consider your audience and the information available to them, not just your private ‘roundabout’ understanding, before accusing them of not being able to comprehend you. Many of your comments are scattered, and quite honestly incomprehensible to your audience. Just as previously stated by others. Then your accusations of them not comprehending your comments reflects poorly on you.

Again, ‘not trying to start a flame war’, just pointing it out.

OK, I made my point(s) about the recent flurry of activity mainly between Cash and El hozel, and also between ATA and El hozel.

If I do not poste before then, Merry Christmas to all. Keep the spirit and hope thru this often difficult time and have a safe Holiday season.

Lurker, tried as I could to ignore him, the orange monstosity gets my blood boiling...and then the abject lack of critical thinking abilities of his koolaid, gaslighting followers the same. Frivolity was a way to relieve stress and show my contempt at the same time.

I have given that board barely a thought since I left. I just don't care. Dealing with those suffering from .mass delusion is something.

Political boards here would take off I'm sure, but not based on what I posted which was more of an attack than anything.

Earlier IAMATA posted something about El hozel being the seed of all the trolling. May be him, may be J Cash, may be BlondeAngeL, may be IAMATA. Or all of them.

All I know is that it has been 3 weeks since J Cash ripped El hozel a new one. And it has been 15 days since El hozel retaliated.

It has been nearly a week since the last post to this string.

Everybody appeared content in tearing him apart. Especially J Cash. Even Judi Dentures shammed him. Even you, ForumLurker, have taken shots at him.

Now, even long term and cross-forums ultimate enemies, IAMATA and El hozel have given up on each other.

On another note, I am trying to guess who Judi Dentures is. (Who she/he was on POF.) I have a couple guesses but that is all they are, guesses.

I made my first post with the username anal-expulsive. I am posting this using that name again. That was the name displayed when that post originally appeared. I see now that the site administrators have change it to a-expulsive.

Anal-expulsive is an accepted term in psychoanalysis. It is not a vulgar term. Just like anal-retentive is not vulgar. Even the word anal alone is not necessarily a vulgar word.

Anal-expulsive is one direction a person can go during the anal stage of Freud's 5 Psychosexual Stages of Development. The other is, obviously, anal-retentive.

If a person were to write say, “he is being anal about that” would you edit it to just an ‘a’ where anal was written? If so, that is being awfully prudish of the site. Where was this prudishness when the term fuktard was being used?

I see that the exploding anus didn’t stick around long. I expected to see him challenge those last two postings by the “ ‘on the spectrum’ troll”. It sounded like he wanted to get something started with someone. Anyone.

I also see that there has been a S#@T TON of traffic here but little posting in the last few weeks.

This thread is this site’s most active thread with both hits (views) and new posts in the last month. Probably in the last six months.

Since October this thread has gone from the ninth most postings to the sixth most postings on the site. In just the last month it has gone from 180 posts and 27,000 hits/views (which had it ranked No eight in posts) to 216 posts with 30,380 hits/views. Not a lot by most forum standards but a S@#T-TON for here. Although the last two weeks there have only been seven posts but over 150+ views/hits.

So, Mr. exploded anus, it looks like we all ‘wused out’.

Not an exceptionally clever twist, but yes, somewhat clever. At least a little clever, no?

I see active censoring/moderating in my last post. They censored my first SH*T TON to read S#@T TON and the second SH*T TON to S@#T TON. I don’t think they figured out right away how I posted “SH*T” (with the ‘l’ in place of the *) without the auto-censor catching it so they had to manually censor it, as evidenced by the different edits (#@ for the first one and @# for the second one). I’d have put the “l” in again but that would probably piss them off.

So there is very active moderation on this site.

Not sure why they shut it down for several months for moderate trolling in 2019 but have left it open after this last round of disgusting posting. ??

Is it a 2020 COVID-19 thing??

Or is it that this is – or was – the most active thread on the site thing??

Why try to darken the world?
Is that their only reach or Meager influence...

Maybe admin keeps this open for others who are interested in the topic?
Maybe they see how petty and juvenile some folks are... and overlook it.

This is all quite on topic.
Pof closed because of this very example of behavior.

Someone took it very seriously and lost an argument or hundreds.
They became fanatical and spammed the doors shut.

Sometimes at golf there is a player like that.
They disrupt and cheat and throw tantrums.... disingenuous you know, people.
Easy to spot. They cant place and compete poorly.
Rather than try... research, practice, seek help.. apply genuine effort,
They just embrace the yard sale.
try to drag it all down to a level they excell at.

In these times especially... most everyone I meet is quick to offer help.
Very few dwell on trying to harm...
or crow on as if being the captain of a sinking ship is a good place to be.

In the last two pages you have posted 6 times. I did a quick count and in those 6 posts you have 5 thumbs up total and 58 thumbs down. The 4 on this page do not have one thumbs up and have 30 thumbs down.

Many of the MEGA crowed must feel that Trump has turned trader on them. How could they not? Think about it. He railed you up for two months with idiotic claims that the election was rigged and that he won without one shred of credible verifiable truth other than wacko fringe conspiracist conjecture and ‘fake news’ perpetuated by your leader.

He ordered you to march on the capitol building. He said he would be with you in the march but then ran off to the comfort and security to hunker down in the White House to watch what he created.

He then became a secluded hermit there and not standing so proud of his latest accomplishment nor taking credit any longer. After all, he takes credit for so many things he didn’t have a hand in why not take the credit for this which he was directly responsible for? Other than mildly saying that maybe you got a little too naughty he told you again that he won the election and said that he loves you, nothing. You were all just blindly following his commands, weren’t you?

Then, days later, he threw you all under the bus. He made a concession speech without using the word concede. In that speech .........

He condemned the attack he incited:
“violence, lawlessness, and mayhem”
“I immediately deployed the National Guard and Federal law enforcement (Another one of his bold-faced lies.) to secure the building and expel the intruders”
“The demonstrators who infiltrated the Capitol have defiled the seat of American democracy”

He said that he lost the election:
“Now Congress has certified the results”
“A new administration will be inaugurated on Jan. 20”

He addressed his faithful, willing to put their lives on the line for him, letting them know that the bus of betrayal was rolling down the street and that shove in their back was him shoving you in front of it:
“To those who engage in the acts of violence and destruction, you do not represent our country”
“And to those who broke the law, you will pay”

Now, if you still want to follow your wacko fringe conspiracist conjecture you might be interested in some of these…
QAnon trying to extrapolate any scrap of data from the time stamp of the concession video as embedded code that Trump is actually stating that he will retain office on January 20 with a new vice president. Thus his concession statement of “A new administration will be inaugurated on Jan. 20”.

There were room lights seen being turned on and off in the white house that were actually code being sent to Trump supporters with instructions.

Your posting is difficult at best to follow. It is like you are having a conversation with yourself about other people and using innuendo that only you and the other person you are talking to, who is also you, are privileged to.

Just one of several tings I do not understand in this last post; are you referring to J Cash or are you referring to me or are you referring to J Cash and myself when you said someone is rating their own postings?

I do not think that is possible. All my posts show both the thumbs up and down in black and are unclickable. So, the site has set it to not be able to vote on your own posts. Also, I did vote on your last post which made it 2 thumbs down. That turned the icon solid blue. I cannot vote again so multiple voting is also not available.

And J Cash’s use of “pegged” was perfectly acceptable in its intent. The only inference of a sexual nature was by you. It looks like once again you have taken things to an unintended dark perverted place. It is no wonder nobody likes you.
