Dating app Tinder has added new stickers in celebration of Pride, specifically for younger LGBTQ+ users.

The new stickers include “My First Pride,” and “I Came Out Online” to “Save Queer Spaces” and “Proud Ally.” According to Mashable, the profile stickers give new dating app users a low-pressure way to be part of the community and display their identity for Pride Month.

The My First Pride and Came Out Online stickers help first-timers to better navigate Pride Month. The idea is to easily find others attending events for the first time so they can make plans and celebrate together.

The Save Queer Spaces sticker helps connect users with others who want to preserve bars, clubs, and community centers serving the LGBTQ+ community, as these are places where they can feel safe being who they are. The Proud Ally sticker helps users show support for the LGBTQ+ community.

The last sticker, Happy Pride, lets other users know you are “celebrating love, diversity, and everything Pride stands for,” according to Mashable[*1] .

Tinder has been adding more LGBTQ+ features to its app over the years, including expanding pronoun options to 15 choices (and each user can pick up to 4 in their profile). Users can also choose from more than 50 gender identities, so people don’t feel limited in how they express themselves. Passport also lets Tinder users select a city they will be traveling to in order to browse matches and connect beforehand, a popular feature among the LGBTQ+ community.

Tinder has also focused on safety for its LGBTQ+ users, with features such as Traveler Alert which gives users a heads-up if they are traveling to a country where there are anti-LGBTQ+ laws or where it’s not safe to travel as an LGBTQ+ person. Users can choose to hide their profiles in these places. Block Contact is another feature that allows users to block and report anyone harassing them, so they can have a safer experience on the app.

Other dating apps are celebrating Pride Month, too. Grindr has launched a bus tour that will take profile photos and offer free HIV testing and PrEP for attendees. Dating app BLK is highlighting LGBTQ+ event curators and sponsoring Pride events they are hosting specifically for the black LGBTQ+ community. The app will also be sharing and highlighting the stories of these curators during Pride Month.

Tinder launched Pride Month stickers in 2023[*2] , and offers the original options as well as the new stickers[*3] .
