Is it okay to text or private message someone on Facebook of the opposite sex when you are in a committed relationship?

My girlfriend is married and her husband has forbid her texting other male friends and sending them pm's on Facebook. I told her this was ridiculous and that as long as you are not behaving inappropriately like cheating then he shouldn't have a problem. I told her he should feel secure in their relationship and trust her.

He is obviously a jealous guy and I have never really liked him. My girlfriend doesn't really stand up to him. Am I right about this or is he?

You are right sort of. It shouldn't matter that she is sending texts to other men or pming on Facebook. Just as long that there is no hanky panky going on. This is especially true if she was doing it before the relationship. The thing that makes me question her motives is how often she is doing it?

If it is all the time then anyone would get jealous and her it would be right for her husband toget angry.
