I do not have a huge social life and I do not date very much. I maybe go on a date once every couple of months. Last week I was on a date and she asked me when my last relationship was and how often I date. Being honest I told her that it had been a while since I was in a long-term relationship and that I only date once every few months. She also mentioned that she had been married once and asked why I had never married. To that question I gave the same answer I give me parents.
“I haven’t met the right person that I felt an instant connection with and with whom shares my beliefs and values.”
All these personal questions have me a bit worried. I realise that they are fairly common for a first date as you try to learn more about the person you are out with but it got me wondering.
Will someone who may be interested in you judge you based on your lack of experience and dating history?
Would someone think that I am not relationship material since I haven’t been in many long-term relationships?
Since I have never married does this mean to someone that I might be afraid of commitment?
Is there a reason why women do not continue to date me?
These are all the questions I see them asking themselves about me. Should I embellish my dating experiences a bit to make me seem more average?
Thanks
Scott
