My high school boyfriend and I decided to continue our relationship in college even though we were going to different schools that are about 10 hours a part by car. We spent our winter break, spring break and summers together. This year I found out that his family is moving across the country which was going to make our long distance relationship even longer. We talked and talked about the situation and in the end decided to breakup.

However it is a few months later now and I am wondering if we made a mistake. I think of him all the time and think I would rather be with him now despite the long distance and the difficulties in getting together.

We talked last week and he wants me to visit this summer. I truly want to go and he wants me there.

Should we try the relationship out again? Should I move out there even though I am only in my second year of school?

I say visit him. You might end up living with regret if you don't, but keep things in perspective. Don't spend too much time during your visit worrying about where you'll be 3+ years from now, just enjoy the time you have together. You'll also get to see a new place that may become important to him since his family is there. Don't worry about long-term until you've finished your current goal of graduating college. Once you start the job hunt you can focus on a city you'd both like to live in together. Keep in touch, but try not to demand all-or-nothing. It's not realistic and you shouldn't ask from him what you can't give in return. Just be as open minded and flexible as possible.

There's nothing wrong in trying for the second time. Give yourself and him a chance it might work this time. If your parents will agree or allows you to move in the same place with your ex BF why not. It would be better if you are near with each other than having long distance relationship. Still, prioritize your studies and don't forget to reach your goals first to have a good future.
