I am an idiot. I got involved with a man in the middle of a divorce, not the best idea, but I am in the situation now which has dragged on for over a year. His wife cheated on him originally so he was not at fault but they have 3 children together so it got complicated.

Last week I got a surprise that she wanted to try and work on their marriage. She dumped her boyfriend and expected him to do the same.

We did end the relationship. I did not want to since I love him with all my heart, but I understand his need to try to work things out for his children who are under the age of 10.

I am trying to look at the bright side of things and the memories we had together and not be to bitter, but it is hard. We had a very good talk and I know it is over but I do still love him.

I just hope at some point I can move on with my life.

One thing i do know is that when a woman gambles with her family for a fling of any kind especially for lust, she is definitely not worthy of a second chance. Its hard but i did the same after it happened to me and it was the biggest mistake i ever made..

I wouldn’t try and dwell on the relationship for too long or you will be forever thinking of him. Just chalk it up to a lesson learned and move on. The best way to do that is get right back into the game which I guess that is what you are doing since you are posting on a forum about dating sites.

Online dating does work and it is fun and exciting. The one thing I learned though is not to have huge expectations about anyone you meet online until you have met them in person and gone on a few dates. No one is exactly as they appear in their profile. Everyone exaggerates and puts their best foot forward. There is nothing wrong with that but just approach online dating as a way of meeting new people. Keep your expectations in check and before you know it you will be pleasantly surprised!

Well, that is nothing surprising to me. My ex wife started to cheat on me right after the honey moon. However I found out about that after a couple of years. She actually had 2 " lovers" who she was seeing on a constant basis. When I caught her, she actually started to cry and ask for forgiveness, and she was saying that she actually wants to save this marriage. I decided to give it a go, as I wasn't better than her, I also cheated on her so why not. Well, after a couple of weeks I decided to divorce as I could not live with that.
