Just finished looking at Local Tryst. Ended up giving it 4/5 - it's good for a free dating site, but I guess lacking the features that any kind of paid membership site would have (no live chat, for example).

Speaking of which, what do you guys think of dating sites with live chat? functionality Markus from POF ripped the feature out of his site; he reckoned it just cost him money... what sort of experiences have you guys had with it on dating sites (as a user or site operator)?

Since August 2009 traffic on Local Tryst has declined to near nothing, at least in Central Illinois.
