After lurking on some other singles forums for a few months, I can understand why so many singles complain that it's hard to meet other singles.
For one thing, there's the problem of their attitude... these people are almost all in their late 40s into their 60s, but they have the attitudes of 12-year olds as far as how to handle a relationship maturely. They all treat the search for the right person as a sort of game which shouldn't be taken seriously at all.
On top of that, they've been online so long that they've formed their own little cliques, and they don't welcome outsiders who are serious about relationships. They behave like trolls, but they aren't really trolls because they all know each other and they're all in their little game together.
What's more, almost all of them live in little hick towns which are so small I bet I wouldn't be able to find them in any atlas... yet they all seen to be slyly hinting, "come and get me!" Go a thousand miles to meet some game-player who's old enough to be my aunt? I don't think so.
In view of that, I think the chance that those people will actually meet someone, let alone get happily married, is pretty bleak.
