Has anyone tried out americansingles.com ?

I am new to the dating site thing so I am not sure. I've created an account and like what I see but I am still unsure (I don't like buying anything on the net). Has anyone had any success with them?

It's a fairly good site. I met some women from there.
Like any site, you have the psycho's and the snobs, as well as the decent ones.

I would give it a shot. Didn't do any worse on that site than I did on any other site.

I have to agree with Bohica. Not a bad site. They seem to weed out (no pun intended Mr. Weed ) the fake profiles not like other sites. I got into a few interesting email and chat conversations with people.

Any woman out there got an opinion on American Singles?

Well, I have tried it out. I have sent a few emails off. Have to wait and see if I get any response! Problem is that there are not to many people in my neck of the woods. I'll update my opinion on American Singles once I have used it for a bit.

I found American Singles perfectly fine. Most of the dating sites out on the web are pretty much the same now. This site did have lots of profiles, especially in the larger cites.

I received a large amount of emails from guys but this is also true of match.com and the other larger single sites. I would give it an 8 out of 10

A note to all guys out there: Include a picture with your profile. I don't know how many messages I get from profiles with no pictures and all I do is delete them. I know this sounds shallow, I am not looking for a Mr. Universe or anything but there has to be some chemistry

Of the three sites I have paid for I found American Singles to be one of the better ones. All the woman I contacted (and got replies from ) where real girls looking for a someone to share their life with. I didn't find any girls tring to get me to sign up to their nude sites (like some other dating sites I know of). I hope this helps some people.

I didn't have much luck on american singles. The site looks good but NOBODY responded to my mails. What gives...

maybe it's your emails? I didn't have really any problems getting some reponses at american singles. the best way to get responses is personalize your emails and make sure you talk about them and not just yourself. mention something you liked in there profile ie if they like mountain biking talk about mountain biking.

I find American Singles, Match and Yahoo to all offer about the same. I really didn't get any more or less replies from singles using the big 3 single sites. If I had to choose one I would probably just roll the dice.
