Marcus Frind (I think I did not spell his name correctly but you can google POF to find out the guys name if you want).

He claims that he pulls in $10,000 K a DAY and one person posted that he made several million dollars in a very short time with his plenty of fish site.

This site is about as effective as getting a date as walking into a hole in the wall bar on a weeknight and expect to find the woman of your deams (or even a single woman ). And she will have anything to do with you.

His followers are almost religeous in their zeal regarding this man and his site. Of course people are jealous that he has created a site that supposedly makes so much money.

But read the testimonials and other sub-forums on the site and it is nothing but rudeness, people leaving right and left (but there are always new suckers that take their place), the forums are heavily censored and if you are one of the favored people, you can say anything. But if you are not one of the chosen, you will have your post voted on to be deleted. So much for freedom of expression but it Is a Canadian site and they dont have that in their consititution pershaps like we do in the US.

But censorship, the fact this is mainly a chat site where people complain that all men want is sex or all women want are rich handsome guys ( same on all dating sites) but that would be ok IF this site actually connected people.

If there really WAS that much dating going on, people would not have time to complain in the forums and every third post would not be titled 'why I am leaving POF'.

As for the revenue issue, I just can't see how this site generates so much income unless google pays for each time a person logs onto the site. If THAT is the answer, then it would be easy to hire a web master, create some hot sounding site (who cares about content) and try to get someone like google on board to pay you $$$ for each site hit.

I have no problesm with people who talk the talk. The problem is that these people have to walk the walk too

Huh, I think the POF site is great! You can contact those you want for free, what more is there to offer? The pay sites don't want you to succeed, they'd lose your paying business.

POF does not get people dates. It is free and you get what you pay for.

I have seen men post that they do not get dates after two years on the site. They do not get a second date, etc.

I have found around Christmas i suddenly had several replies. After a second exchange of me providing information, I never heard from the women.

The owner thinks he is GOD and so do the moderators. And only the moderators or women think the site is any good. most men agree in the forums taht they will not get dates.

so if you like wasting your time, the price is right.

For a woman, POF may work.

For a man, it is a complete waste.

I just had my profile deleted it from one of the POF Admin, they deleted my main picture saying that my face didn't show, which was not true, then my second picture aswell, so I posted a "thread" on a Vancouver Forum, where I was asking for some kind of explanation to their action, lot of people read it and comments come alive, suddenly my posting was deleted and my profile gone, pretty much kicked out without an explanation.

Hey guys I've only been on the site for a couple months and its been great ? ? ? I've had a few dates and even two one night hook ups without any booze involved...Pretty straight forward I'm listed as dating and thats what I'm doing no problems ? I've been on Match for about two months longer and while I get dates off the site. Well same as POF some hook ups...It tends 2b harder and slower than POF but they both work. I've found that they require significantly different approaches. POF tends 2b more free weelin and Match is much more reserved but after U get the hang of it they both get U the same result ! U just have 2 work with what the site allows and the pay site tends 2b much harder 2 get dates...Hmmm So Far LOL that could change...

POF rocks. I've had more than dates from there, I've made new friends too. And they have an advanced search feature you can
use that many other sites do not. I tried eHarm and Match and they sucked. You spend wayyyyyyy too much time filling out
personality forms initially and then have a pretty limited search feature afterwards.

POF does have some stiff rules on the forum but hey, it's not a democracy, it's the right of the webmaster to do that. And part of the
purpose is to avoid the churlish, trollish behavior of terminally dissastisfied members like the dingdong that started this thread. In fact,
under the Testimonials forum, a few people have expressed frustration...A FEW...and their hyper critical posts do not get deleted!! So

FINK had to retract the statement that POF is the largest dating site in the world after about a week. I have the stats to prove Yahoo has the largest number of menbers.

The women are fake. If one wrote you and said take a photo of youself standing on one leg and i will go out with you and you did it, she would say 'wrong leg' and you would never hear back.

The women are dried up former high school prima donnas who think they are back in their glory days in HS.

Please some one give me some advice. Im very concerned that a good friend of mine has recently just met some BIMBO on POF, His entire behavior has gone crazy since he met her on line,she had no pic on line states she is single 48yr old with two children looking for a honest man for long term no education and a real low life of a job. Now here is my male friend whom is average looking very well educated above average income never been married owns a moderate home sounds real good right well he has one very big downfall actually two the first hes in very poor health and hes desperste to find some one.
Now Im not saying that we all dont deserve happiness Im just very concerned and scared for him expecially since he is desperate. We have been the best of friends for 20yrs we talk on the phone at least twice a day,several weeks ago i hadnt heard from him,so i called for four days straight left him messages but no reply I got scared thinking that his health was bad and maybe was in the hospital again well on the 5th day i finally got him he so so curt and cold with me told me that he cant ever talk to me again cause he needs to be honest with this new women he just met on POF so they can make a future with one another,now before i go own with the story Im a female,and yes we have had a strictly platonic friendship over the yrs we have been through so much together,I was in total shock by his behavior and statement. I said to him how dare you compare our lonf friendship with some bimbo you just met on line. he was firm again and said i have to go I have date and i cant talk to you anymore, I cant even put in words how deeply hurt I was and stll am, I had several days to think about what he said and I called him back and told him how I feel he could of cared less about our friendship. a week went by and he called me to say that he never said we couldnot speak anymore well i no what he said I gathered he was starting to realize what he was throwing away with us as friends,I told him not to try and cover up with his orig decision about us, I said okay and was glad we could remain friends still but after a few days passed the shock wore off and reality set in me of what he truly wanted was us to not be friends anymore so i called and left him a message that went like this. We are all entitled to happiness and Ive given our friendship carefull consideration and we both need to sever our ties with one another once and for all I wished him well told him to be very carefull and happiness with her, Its been over a week and i dont expect to here nor want to from him again
I need some advice please im worried that this women has ulterior motives for him I mean really what would a women 8yrs younger than he with 2 young kids stll at home want with my friend who is in very very poor health ???capital gain?? lust ??player?? sex??? Im very concerned for him I no its none of my business but Ive heard the horror stories about these LOL sites and I dont want to see this guy get himself in trouble.His entire personality has changed drastically
