So I’m like this close to yeeting Bumble off my phone but I’m trying one last time before I give up lol.

Idk what happened but my matches basically flatlined out of nowhere. I used to get a steady trickle (nothing crazy but like… enough to feel alive 💀) and now it’s literally crickets. I’m swiping, I updated my pics, rewrote my bio, even tried that “boost your profile!” thing once (never again, I have bills 😭) and STILL nothing.

My friend said it might be the algorithm “shadow hiding” me or whatever?? Is that a real thing or is she just talking out of her ass?

Is there an actual way to reset your Bumble visibility or get back in the rotation? I Googled it and got like 10 different answers.

Has anyone here dealt with this?
Did you fix it?
Do I need to delete my account? My soul? My 2023 group photo?

Any advice appreciated because I swear Bumble is acting like I don’t exist and honestly same but still.

Honestly this sounds like the classic Bumble slump. It happens to pretty much everyone at some point, especially after a physical move where your location changes. The app basically “tests” your profile in the new area and sometimes it just does a terrible job at it lol.

Couple things you can try that actually help (I went through this last month):

Put your old pics back.
Sorry but if it was consistently getting likes, that means it was doing the heavy lifting. Bumble is super photo-driven. One weak first pic can tank your whole visibility.

Change your first photo only.
Don’t overhaul everything. I found small tweaks bump you back into circulation.

Stop using the “two locations” thing.
It 100% can confuse the algorithm. Pick the city you’re physically spending more time in. Once I turned that off, my profile started showing again within like 48 hours.

Take a 24 to 48 hour app break.
Don't open the bumble app, make sure it is not running on your phone. For whatever reason that little pause kicks you back into the active pool.

Don’t delete your whole account unless nothing else works. Some people swear it helps but it’s a gamble. I did it once and it made things worse, so ymmv.

i personally haven’t had the “invisible” profile thing happen on Bumble 😅 i still get matches and messages like normal, so nothing crazy like what you’re describing.

BUT a few of my guy friends have literally said the exact same thing you wrote about. they’ll tell me they’re swiping hard, updating pics, rewriting bios, using boosts, and then suddenly they’re getting almost zero visibility or matches for like weeks at a time. one of them even said it felt like he was just gone from the whole rotation and had to delete & remake his account before anything changed.

so, i’ve definitely heard this complaint from multiple dudes IRL, and it sounds way too specific to just be coincidence. honestly it really feels like Bumble’s algorithm or visibility logic is glitchier for some people than others, especially after moving or tweaking settings.
