Your age, gender and location is also taken into account.

You also can also be offered weekly or monthly subscription terms

If the tinder algorithm really likes you and you’re constantly getting likes without paying the service is extremely cheap.

For instance my tinder plus subscription is almost $8 a month.

For a female friend of mine, she got offered even cheaper at $5 per month. She doesn't subscribe though as she gets hundreds of matches everyday with out needing to subscribe.

If you’re Tinder profile doesn't get much traction and not liked that often then Tinder will offer subscription pricing to you at an incredibly high price because they know you’re more likely to pay to get any advantage you can.

So basically in the Tinder pricing world, if you’re 35 year old man who gets 1 like a month you’ll pay 4-5 times what a 20 year old good looking girl pays.

Yeah I found the same crazy pricing here in Canada. Tinder Gold is $40 a month here in Ontario and nothing was offered to me weekly.

When I tried using a VPN going through the United States on a new profile for some reason I was offered $7.99 USD a month. Even with our exchange rate that is probably $12 CAD and roughly 4 times the amount here in Toronto.

WTF it doesn't cost Tinder any more money to service me than someone in Florida. It's the same software used.

It's a complete RIP OFF in my opinion. This type of targeted pricing has to stop!

I've paid the $11.99 per week rate over half a year ago. The weekly rate is insane for what they give you especially when you compare it to the monthly price.

That said I have consistently found long term relationships via the Tinder dating app over the last 5 years, as an only somewhat attractive middle aged man. It's not trash, it's only as good as the effort you are willing to put in, and even then you've got to manage your expectations.

Last summer I bought Tinder Gold for just one month and was swiping daily looking for people I liked. I went on four dates with three different women, and the last one I've been dating since. Are all those numbers worth the money/effort? It's all relative to your expectations and how well it all goes.
