From the perspective of a female ABFH member, this is hands down absolute BEST ABF/ANR site. It is a site where there is a feeling of community and more importantly, safety. It is a free site. Although, a person can make a donation to help with the considerable cost of maintaining & continuous updating of the site which the owner, Micheal, does at his own out of his own pocket. Donations of $25 verifies you as a member. Whether you are verified or not, all members have access to the same site features. Of all the various groups on many platforms, ABFH is in my opinion the finest I have ever had the pleasure of experiencing.
The site includes: "puzzles, blogs, reference article, videos, forum posts, community text chats, community audio chats a la cafe’ (optional camera on Saturdays) where you meet members behind the avatar,post useful links, send text DMs, send audio DMs, post voice clips in community chat, make activity updates on your profile and others, posts seeking likeminded members, profiles allowing you to filter the number of messages approaching your inbox, ability to call anyone on your friends list (handy when interested parties haven’t the same app for offline comms), useful search feature, a very active eye on women’s safety by the admin. and certain of the community, an incredibly vigilant admin, people who have met IRL, some have become a couple, members willing to contribute in a variety of situations, no bots, the relatively new notes function you can post on profiles of other members."
Taken from another female review: “We have a site with very many active users and a hands on admin. This site doesn’t dump a bunch of ads on us like literally all other sites. ... Of all the *censored* I spend money on, a contribution to the site is a drop in the bucket. "
That being said, the biggest negative issue of the site is the incessant harrassment of another ABF/ANR site owner & his buddies. He has left a number of bad reviews and posts on different sites because, I am concluding, that he doesn't like the competition & is jealous. His site can be free with very limited features. Paying gets you more but still is lacking in features, feeling of safety, and activity. His post in fetlife was actually removed due to slander.
Currently, the only other issue is a member who passive aggressive. Claiming cliques, drama, being bullied, etc. You can see the above review she left. She starts drama constantly yet displaces the blame on others. I am unsure if she actually understands she is the problem and how her interactions of how she posts instigates or not. But then has her posts taken down I can only guess is to not leave a trail of her behavior. However, she has threatened the owner to get the site taken down. Laughable but sad that she resorts to threats.
If you want a safe & quality site for ABF/ANR, ABF Heaven is the place!
