Facebook has a built-in dating feature, but it’s the biggest piece of 💩 I’ve ever used.
My experience:
1. Select Dating from menu.
2. Set up profile (it automatically pulls most info from your main Facebook profile).
3. Enable Location Services to allow Facebook to detect your location. A “something went wrong” error appears.
4. Refresh location - Facebook gets it wrong.
5. Review profile, then tap Done.
6. Facebook kicks you out of the Dating section and returns you to the main menu.
7. Select Dating from menu.
8. The profile setup wizard appears again, as if you’re creating your profile for the first time.
9. Update your location. Facebook gets it correct this time.
10. Set age and distance preferences.
11. Start browsing profiles. A “finish your profile” message appears, despite finishing your profile.
12. Continue browsing profiles. The people on here are no better than what you’d find on Tinder.
13. Tap X repeatedly. There’s nobody you’re interested in.
14. After viewing 500 shitty profiles, another “something went wrong” error appears.
15. Return to the main Dating page and try browsing again. A “take a break” message appears. Must wait 24 hours to continue browsing.
16. Delete your profile. Facebook asks why you’re doing so.
