These buggers charged my Credit Card again!

I want a refund for the amount charged in my account by Mate1. I did not sign up for another month so how do I cancel my subscription and get a refund of my $39.99?

I would like to cancel my membership to edate as well. How do you do this?

I definitely want to cancel my subscription to edate. But the site will not let me. Please help ???

Looks like you can't do it via the website interface. According to edate help page you must:

"To discuss your account, please call one of our customer support reps at 1-888-688-4760 or 1-514-907-0015. Our support lines are open between 9AM and 5 PM EST, Monday through Friday and 10AM to 4PM EST on Saturday and Sunday. Please note that we are closed on most holidays. Your full membership will be terminated at the end of the next billing cycle, and you will not be billed again. You will be back to guest status and can renew your full membership at any time."

Then again if you signed up using the eDate app on Android or iOS then you can just cancel the renewal of the subscription through Google or Apple.

By the look of things there is no refunds.

My financial payments were withdrawn and direct debit (access by eDate) cancelled more than one year ago. eDate remain to forward unwanted photos of woman that rarely if ever meet the original criteria. This service has been inadequate
from commencement a feeling of lack of ethics and trust.After many attempts to cancel this situation eDate remains elusive and the entire project is seemingly dishonest.

This site is a scam!!! I did the three day offer to check out the website, and I wasn't happy with the results. Woman that I clicked on were not even there. I just got on the site. They don't allow you to cancel. Then they put your phone on a long wait hoping you get frustrated and hang up. Customer Service is no good. The First thing you hear is over loud music to get you to hang up. I'm really disappointed in this company actions. But hey I now you got to scam people instead of providing really service right?

Provide better more realistic service and maybe so many people wouldn't resign from your date site.

While eDate/Mate1 will do everything possible to avoid issuing a refund, they are terrified of chargebacks. I suggest you call the customer service number. Politely ask for a refund. When you are refused, calmly explain that if you are not given a refund you will contact your credit card company and have charges reversed as fraudulent. It doesn't matter that the "terms & conditions" that you supposedly agreed to when you signed up for eDate explains the fee structure. Most credit card companies will quite happily reverse the charges for you.

In the case of a chargeback, eDate not only loses the money charged you, but also the processing fee and a chargeback fee. If they too many chargebacks, they will lose their ability to process credit cards.

While eDate is a sleazy, dishonest business please do not take your anger out on the people in customer service.

Most paid sites don’t make it easy to cancel. They all want you to stay and keep paying. Best way is to call or email support if you can’t figure it out, and request a confirmation email that the cancellation was made.

I signed up for one month and I got on the customer support website to cancel. I got the website to contact them from a phone call I made to the company. I was charged the next month after cancelling. I called and finally got to speak to a customer support person. He assured me that my account would be canceled, and a refund would be immediately issued. This month I was charged again. I'm contacting the Attorney General's office at the consumer complaint division to file a formal complaint. Maybe they will stop this nasty behavior of this company!
