Craigslist in London UK is interesting.
In the past it was possible to run a "Strictly Platonic" "w4m" advert and get decent responses.
I had many responses and I believe these are from real human men and I believe the men know I am 'real'.
I met one very decent over 45, attractive male professional, but he's looking for a form of emotionally attached 'fwb'. In my world that's a relationship....I digress.
Now (2018)my adverts get flagged by some white collar crazies, imho blue collar are men too busy working to waste time on CL.
I believe rogue "flagging" is:
Men I don't reply to, so I get flagged for not replying.
Or female sex workers who want to remove the competition.
My simple analysis identified in London:
3 - w4m adverts
250 - "m4w" adverts
The imbalance is obvious. Rogue 'flagging' is happening to women on an industrial scale.
So I agree:
*Charge a nominal fee to all Personal Ad placements.
*Remove "flagging" from CL personals.
*Implement automated and human moderation.
*Run a pilot in CL personals London.
JOB DONE!
If this tiny issue could be rectified then CL could become the leaders in genuine online dating. It seems an opportunity that CL is insane to ignore.
