i opened an account with fling, but was not a paying customer yet. i was a little hesitant. i got as far as starting a profile.. same day i had 20 messages. i said wow this is cool, deffinately ill pay for a month and see what happens. so i paid $34.95 for a month trial.. now remember before i paid, i had 20 messages i couldnt talk to because i was a non paid customer. just as soon as i paid and went to respond to the 20 messages,, guess what. no messages back. i have messaged ppl online, ppl near me, lots of ppl every day for over 2 weeks, not one message back. but i get 20 messages just minutes before i pay.. sounds very odd dont you think. im sure the day that my month i paid for is over, ill get a bunch of messages, to try to get me to stay with them.. sorry i done canceled

I'm a female on fling, have been for a few years. I've never paid a penny and have met plenty of guys in person where everyone is who they say they are. at first they wanted me to pay for a subscription, but i suppose my profile got enough views that all of a sudden i got an email saying "you've been approved for our free silver membership"... I guess it all depends who you guys are finding. I've given people personal email address to talk off-site but just because they were going to cancel their paid subscriptions or whatever. no redirecting to any other place, etc.

Fling isn't fake , I've had a profile .on there for 3 years . I have met plenty of men off fling i am not a paying member which means i only get to send so many messages a day

gettin many msg, so paid for 3 days, but endded up paying for 33. When paid go no msg, just got 1 now my sub. ended. When no able to get to web-cams, I made fake person, he got msg's OK. Can't just = bad luck, must = con?

I should have read these posts before paying the 33 bucks...
Eight weeks after signing up, working on a nice description and uploading a few pics of me (by the way, I have always been told I have a hot body), sending 30 messages (respectful and not pushy) to different "chicks" allegedly looking for the same thing and with common likes.... just to have 2 fake replies, one of them saying she is interested and gives me an email that doesn´t work and when I let "her" know she disappears forever and another one that replied with a short "cut & paste" type of sentence that had nothing to do with the context... and of course after that she disappeared as well.
I also tried posting the same pics in "Locanto" just to check the response. In three days I had 800 views to my profile... compared to the 20 views I had in Fling Finder over 8 weeks! I am not suggesting to try Locanto, but at least you have something to compare it with.
Another thing I didn´t quite understand at the beginning, but didn´t pay too much attention is what they claim to be 40% men, 40% women and 20% couples.... how can this be guaranteed if not by artificially creating fake profiles to keep the percentages that accurate?
The final proof (again, should have done this before), try to make an image search of the "chicks" that you find attractive... you will see a few that are in spanish, german and chinese websites!

I am sure there are a few genuine profiles like me, but overall it feels it is a complete fake.
