I won't go so far as to say "fake" but fling may be a little shady. I haven't used it for a LONG time. Though I defy the law of averages finding FWBs online.....that's besides the point.

When I tried them out, I did actually meet someone. We chatted on yahoo for a bit, got along pretty well. Hooked up a day or so later and the day after that. Had a great time. I just wish I'd happened upon the site sooner so we could have had each other a couple more times before she went back to Arizona.

I got the chat request too. On fling just go for the people who's profiles YOU check out unless you can tell they're legit. If you've been around the net long enough you can.

Have to put in another vote for FAKE.

I've registered on several sites. Not sure how I found Fling, but simply registered and then didn't get around to filling out my profile. There is no pic and no info AT ALL about me on there. Yet in the last week, I've received 23 messages from various women. Of course, I cannot read any of the messages since you need to pay to upgrade for that.

The obvious conclusion is that these are auto-generated messages to new male members to encourage you to pay to read messages.

While I've been typing this, I received 2 more messages.... On any reputable site with a complete profile, I'll get a couple 'flirt' type things a week. But 20 messages in a few days? Total BS.

I've had nothing but great experiences with Fling.com. I'm a girl and the site is free for us. I've met more guys there then adultfriendfinder.com (also free for girls).
Both sites cater to a large range of people but you can search for people by location; city, zip, miles. There are some peaks to being a paid member but over all, I never felt the need when I was single.
My boyfriend (who I met on Fling) and I are now paying members on Fling.com and free members on adultfriendfinder.com. I'm not saying either site isn't full of fake members, but if you're smart then you should be able to spot them. You have to take the good with the bad, don't give out any personal information until you know they are real.
Over all I have really enjoyed my experiences with both sites. I would say they are pretty much the same it just depends on what layout you prefer.

Umm I beg to differ. I met a few girls from there. They were goodlooking, but not super hot. A couple others, I just talked to on the phone for a bit as friends. If you see a super hot girl, with a fake or unfilled profile...then obviously it's not real. Most of the real profiles don't paint a picture of what you want. They're more reserved, and not so slutty. I'm not affiliated with that site, nor do I have any interest in it. Most sites might have a few real hot girls on there....just don't be all Duche and send pics of your pee pee. Girls want to get to know you, and be talked to unlike the rest of the horny dumb population of men. good luck peeps

Neither site is fake. They both exist, but they are connected.

I am a female. I joined richmen for fun. I wondered if it was possible to actually meet a wealthy sort of man that way.

I talked to a nice enough guy, we met up.

He wanted "a fling" as he was on fling.com. I had no idea what he was on about until I did the research.

He wanted to bed me, I wanted to be wined and dined.

I don't know what's up with some of you guys, but I've been on Fling a few years now and have met some pretty cool guys. I moved from New Orleans to New York and now to North Carolina and have met guys in each area I've lived. I'm not a hooker, not looking for money, and have had great luck here. My only real complaint is that some of you don't understand what a FWB is as opposed to a one-time f***, but other than that, I'm pretty happy here. It really isn't that hard to recognize scams, so I really can't understand why you guys and girls, too, seem to be having such a problem. I'm really sorry that your luck hasn't been as good as mine, but maybe you need to sit back and think about what you might possibly be doing to attract these scam artists.

I paid for a membership and now want to cancel. THEY DON'T MAKE CANCELING EASY! I did hook up with one girl though, so I guess the site works. That was it though, and I guess I'm just tired of putting in the effort. I want to cancel, and they don't have a link. You have to send them an email message saying you want to cancel, which I did,,,,, and then what??? I'm worried they are going to charge me to renew my account, and have read a few stories about them doing that! Why can't they just have a button to CANCEL?

If you want to cancel just ring your bank and cancel the direct debt through them (AS WELL AS SENDING THE CANCELATION REQUEST). Also keep a copy of the email you sent them incase they try to scare you with court action for not paying, then you can show them the email you sent to cancel. They will then leave you alone as court is expensive n they wont have a leg to stand on!

P.S When you send the email ask for comformation that the account has been cancelled!
