A real gal

I joined a site called MeetRealGUYS about a year ago. Turned out it was Fling. That should have been my first clue something was up with the site. MeetRealGUYS is marketed to women as a place to meet friendly guys in your area who are interested in serious dating. Fling however is marketed to men as a place to find sleazy women for sex. Two completely different concepts. Angry

But even after figuring this out, I decided to endure; there was still a possibility I would meet a nice fella on the site, right? So far, wrong. My inbox is inundated by disgusting messages and from perverse little boys I would never want anything to do with. There are no men of quality on the site it seems. Not one guy seems capable of holding a conversation without mentioning his genitals. And the instant messaging system? There is no way to turn it off, so I am forced to tolerate repugnant messages from loosers and pigs until I have placed them on block.

What more, I got fussed at by the admin of the site for telling men I have no interest in viewing their disgusting genitals on webcam. I got fussed at for not allowing the little boys on the site treat me with disrespect. I got a warning for telling people I will not tolerate their inappropriate behavior.

Why? Because the paying customer, the little boy perverts and pigs wanted to be disgusting, and I'm expected to tolerate it all so the site can make money. It's loudicrous. I am one of the few real women on the site, not one of the people paid to act interested and send flirty messages in order to convince a guy to shell out his money. I am not one of the paid internet hookers who's main purpose on the site is to trick stupid guys out of their hard earned money. I am a real woman, looking to meet a real guy, one whom is respectable and honestly looking for a relationship.

Ladies, avoid this site like the plague. Ignore the airheads that act as if the site is so great. It is a horrid experience for anyone whom is not a street walker. Men, do not shell out your money; try a real dating site, one that has real single women looking for their match. The only people that belong on that site are ones whom have no respect for themselves. Sick

I'm really glad I found this site. I got suspicious right away but I thought I'd give it a try for a month.

The first red flag was the fact that they would not let me mail a money order, as some other sites (like AFF) do. So I bought a pre-paid Visa gift card and tried to use that, but the website wouldn't accept it. When I called customer service, they said that they can't accept pre-paid cards (the second red flag).

So I was out the cost of a few dollars for the Visa gift card, but at least I could spend the money on that card elsewhere and none of it went to these scammers. There is no way I would give them access to my credit card information!

think about it like this. you pay to see a movie at the theaters, after getting through the first 10 minutes of the movie you decide you dont like it, you wont get your money back...

I would just like to say there may be a lot of fake people on fling but I am a girl who has used fling going on 5 yrs and am not a fake and have met some great people on there, including the most amazing guy I've ever met whom I'm seeing now, and I have over 50 pics on my profile of me including 4 videos guys sometimes believe I am a cam model or something bc I am way too beautiful to be on there which I don't disagree with lol but there has to be something for the guys to look at. I've talked so many men and most say they haven't met any one off there yet, so some advice guys choose to actually write a pleasant message and not act lime an asshole. I can sense one instAntly and won't respond be respectful and clean yourself up a bit. Maybe ull actually meet someone

I'm glad I found this site too!! Its amazing the amount of HOT girls writing me and I can't respond to any of them Lol!!, because I have to pay before, its interesting because I'm not the kind of man who will receive this kind of amazing success on these sites. Just for the record I stated on my profile how they can find me on google my name+profession. So here is my tip for some of you. I've been finding those girls just with their "nick", I select the nick and paste on google, most of them use the same nick on Facebook, Myspace, Okcupid, etc...

SOME SANITY
We are all lured by things that are tempting to us. Men by good-looking, sexy ladies, women by good-looking, rich gentlemen, but it is wise to take a mental rain check faced with these things. FLING looks too good to be true because it IS too good to be true. The nail in the coffin was the earlier contributor who found EXACTLY the same girls coming up on FLING living in Texas as were supposedly in Florida. My tale is that years ago I signed up to a site where they wanted my credit card details "purely for verification purposes - WE WILL NOT CHARGE YOU". If I had a pound for every time a friend said, "But they PROMISED me..." Of course the site hit my card four times. I didn't even notice - my BANK TOLD ME!!! They were "worried" about these regular payments emanating out of Florida. And were good enough to refund me when I told them they were unauthorised. So thumbs up for the UK bank Co-op, and thumbs down where a website's promises are too good to be true: you'll either be punished in your wallet, or with spam. So:

1 Don't wave your card around;
2 When signing up to things online, use a separate e-mail you have set up solely for sign-ups. If you get spammed, at least it won't be to your personal or business e-mail.

No it doesn't work that way. Even with the movie theatre, you have a ticket stub and you can go back and watch the last 5 minutes of the movie. You paid for a service, the vendor is obligated to provide that service as per the service agreement. Therefore, if you paid for a month and the requirements of cancellation is 30 days then you get 30 days service before access is cut off. Dude, it's not legal. But the site is bullsh*t anyway so it's not like you were ever going to get your money's worth. Smile

I have had a totally different experience on fling. True there are a ton of scammers on the site as with any site of this nature; however, I have not only talked with real women I've also met some of them. Two of them we are friends to this day. The site is legit. Many of the people who use it are not.

It really is awful. I let myself be sucked in by the deluge of e-mails after I took the non-paying membership to explore the site. Literally a dozen or two e-mails from "members" of all ages and sizes every day for the first few days. I decided to test the waters and take a one-month membership and paid the $24.95. E-mails quite literally stopped immediately as soon as my credit card was processed. There has not been a single inquiry or "member interested" in the four days since I paid. Lesson learned. I can only advise everybody else to save even their $24.95 and not take the bait of this site.

My opinion after this first 5-6 days is that there is not a single real woman on fling.com as a member, aside from the trashy ones doing the pay-per-view video chats.
