SCAM ALERT!

Hi. I have just found this forum and I want to share my experience for the "common good" of dating site users. Just so you dont get scammed.

My background: 5 years of university education in computer security and information technology. Yeah... I'm Norwegian and I'm a Troll hunter. :-)

Since I have a nordic look, I'm 6'3" and 280 lbs and both high education and pay, its not excactly like I have problems hooking up with women. Finding the right one on the other hand is a pain in the a--- since I'm picky. So for a half year ago I decided that Internet dating was the thing.

Part one: DO NOT USE YOUR REAL EMAIL OR PROFILE! Why? Because 99% off all dating sites and profiles are pure scams. So establish a "spam mail" account that you use to test sites. In that way you can try for example Fling and discover that its a total ripoff. My guess is that about 1 of 100 female profiles are for real. And with only about 300 norwegian profiles, I'll guess that there are 3 real women on Fling for the entire country. Suddenly panic pickup in the bar dont seem so bad. At least there you get the chance of some pysical contact when she slaps you in the face....

Part two: DO NOT VERIFY ANYTHING!!!! So lets see.... They want you to scan or email your social security number or your credit card to verify who you are? Well, I guess there is no problem sending that information to strangers on the internet? Seriously: GROW UP!

Part three: THERE ARE NO SUCH THING AS A FREE LUNCH! This applies to everything in life. But especially online dating. So if there are a 20 year old women that looks like a model and actually is real (yeah right...), why the he--- do she want to date old, fat and bald men who have failed so much in real life that they have to try internet dating? Yep. Its all for the money. And if she can fool it from you without having to meet you, then even better.... "Oh dear. I have lost my wallet. Can you please help me, kind sir?". Hillarious. Just hillarious.

But dont take my word for it. Try yourself. As long as you dont use your real name, pictures that shows your face or any other information that can be tracked back to you, you can go "window shopping". And go looking for the 1% o the dating sites that you can trust. They are out there. You just have to find them.

Yes there are fake profiles and users on there. But even match.com, okcupid.com, eharmony all have the same b.s. I've had success on fling. A couple of things: 1. Make sure you have some really good pictures up 2. Take the time to make a good profile. The women on there literally get 30-50 emails a day (or more) and simply can't even keep up with the backlog. And you have to remember, because the women on here are getting so many responses, they are going to be picky. Take your best feature and use it to your advantage. For me I have a great body but an average face, so all of my picture are mostly body shots. Be direct but not vulgar. Good luck

They are all bad - but have to say fling.com is 1 of the worst (there seems to be a number of sites that all use the same backend system - same layo` member were bogus, as soon as I paid the emails stopped not 1 reply despite days earlier willing to do anything I wanted.... So I set up new profiles on a number of sites - no pictures no info at all all it had was that I was 99years old and male - yet site after site had messages from girls flooding my inboxes all desperate to get to know me better because I sound so hot..... hmmmm riiiigghhtttt... wish there was some way of making these sites more accountable, I know redhotpie.com.au got in trouble in Australia for running fake profiles, the only thing is most of these sites would be based in a country that wont touch them...... hopefully as people start to realise what a scam these sites are they stop paying, sooner or later they wont be making any money

DO NOT SIGN UP FOR THIS SITE!!!!! Unless you are black. All the women on the site are fat black women and all the white ones only want black guys. There is no real talent there and after well over 100 emails I have yet to receive a reply. Be Warned!!!

I agree with a bunch of what has and is being said here about fling.com but I also want to state that I have hooked up from this site hear in New Orleans, and I have a few digits and emails as well. A huge amount of african american women and most look like they are above 250 pounds. I have spent more time and money at other sites and same thing but no hookup. Only one came close was AFF.com,but no real complaints here. I givem a B+.....

Yep, total scam. After I posted a profile for free I watched my email inbox flood with requests of, usually, rather attractive "local" women requesting me to contact them via Fling.com. I of course couldn't "contact" them back untill I paid. I did pay the nominal $24 1 month fee FROM A TEMPORARY CREDIT CARD for the hell of it, just to see what exactly would happen. Surprise! The contact notifications stopped cold as soon as I paid.

The site automatically sends you emails from various women, who might legitimately be members of Fling (in what capacity I am not exactly sure, a lot are clearly webcam models trying to hook schmoes or unionized whores) but they have not messaged you personally, have not viewed your profile, have not admired the trace of pubic hair you left on the bottom border of your sexiest cell phone pic taken in your bathrooom and emailed you by compulsion. It is a marketing tool from Fling.com to get you to pay the membership fee. Fling forwards these "member requests" to you, untill you pay. Then they get lazy. The automatic emails stop.

Here is a feedback letter I sent them. I'm putting it here because I doubt anyone at Fling.com will ever actually read it. But DO NOT BOTHER PAYING ANYTHING TO THIS SITE!! I have satisfied your curiosity on your behalf: Here is my letter:

Well, I went ahead and did it, paid the fee to sign up, knowing beforehand your site was a scam, and well...it was.
A suggestion for you parasitizing and manipulating people for their money in future: make a little more effort AFTER they have paid to keep the ruse going. For over a month prior to my actually "upgrading" my membership so as to actually be able to contact the plethora of available "girls" in my area demanding that I do so, ha ha nice one, my email inbox being hit with 5 to 8 notifications daily of interested easy women in my area...well, no sooner had I paid, than all these emails dried up!...not a single one for the next 2 days. Gosh, what could have happened?
Excellent marketing. You were admirably persistent to get me to sign up. But if you'd kept the "contacts" going you could have milked me for another $20 next month. Here it is, just over 24 hours later and I've seen through the ploy already. Automated emails I'm sure don't cost you too much in overhead, but show a little more effort. I work hard every day to get a little disposable income, and $20 is all you're gonna get of it. Chump change. Raise your sights a little.
And suck my #^&^ while you're at it whoever's reading this you pathetic little underachieving jerk off in a bad job for a scam company. Some people invent a better light bulb, you work as a lackey for a pickpocket. I'd trade 15 of these bimbos and the messages Fling misrepresents them as sending for 1 minute alone time in a small room with you. Alas, that's not gonna happen either.
My compliments to your boss. Hope he @*^#* you too.
