It's a SCAM! I have been told that Elite singles use computers to generate fake female members that will send you messages but are not able to maintain conversations. Those fake female members are limited number and once the matches run out you don't get more information. I'm very disappointed my $59.00 were stolen. I was also told by some women that they are payed by Elite singles to send messages to new members and later don't follow-up with anything. One lady said that she was payed for each message she sent to new men and after that it was all over.
Really bad

Very very disappointed. I sincerely filled out my profile 100% however, none of matches meet my criteria, most of the matches have very little self -description, and I have no idea why we match each other. Also, I set the race and religion criteria very strict, however LOTS the recommended matches are completely against my wishes.
Completely waste of time and money.

It sucks...

1. The women are old, a lot of them have kids already, relatively few are in their twenties

2. It's very expensive

3. When I tried to cancel 5 days before renewal they refused to cancel and charged me anyway because in the small print it says you have to give 7 days notice before renewal, which is ridiculous because there was a lot of back and forth with "customer service" who obviously could have cancelled it for me but just wanted to sting me for another £150 renewal fee for the next 3 months!

4. the highly structured profiles end up looking quite similar to each other after a while

I wouldn't waste my time on this site ever again.

I have recently tried their site as a 'free member'. Everything seemed legit enough. Why not give it a try?

I had input all my info, likes and dislikes, etc. and shortly afterwards was asked by another member for me to upload a picture. within 2 days I have had 4 more requests and several visitors to my profile. I have also received approximately 15-20 email alerts about women being interested in my profile, etc. All of the women who have visited my profile have blurry pictures and I am finding I have to pay to be able to see them clearly.

I uploaded the picture as directed and was going to send the person a quick message saying what I had done and be patient. But I am unable to send messages as a 'free member' and over 24 hours hrs later, my picture still hasn't been uploaded. I believe i have to become a member ($25/month x 6 months) for me to communicate with other members and upload my picture.

After reading all of these other complaints however, I won't be paying anything except less attention to them. I'm not hanging around long enough that once my picture gets posted to my profile, that they can put a label on my forehead saying SUCKER.

Tricky and deceitful seems to apply here.

THREATEN THE BBB! They refused to refund me until I said I read lots of reviews that all talked about the site being a scam, and that I was going to contact the BBB. Emailed me back within an hour and gave me the refund! Good luck

I really wish I'd read these reviews before signing up. This company is a complete rip off, deliberately keeping your financial information so they can use it in the future to rip you off.

After signing up to Elite singles and using it for a few months- not liking either the format (being sent 'matches' rather than being able to search) or the fact that there was hardly anyone remotely near me on there, I decided to cancel my contract. I then found out that it had been automatically renewed the previous week. Ok, I thought- I obviously didn't read the small print, but not too worry, there'll be a 2 week cooling off cancellation period as per my consumer rights. After contacting Elite I was disgusted to find out (in an extremely smug and patronising way) that they had written into the contract that these consumer rights could only be applied to the first point of subscription and after that basically gave themselves the right to use your previously saved financial details to take payment for an automatic subscription.

The fact that they would do this with no communication as to when your previous subscription is due to end is bad enough but not refunding when you tell them within a week that you don't want the service is theft in my eyes. I've now had £60 taken from my account for a service that was terrible anyway and I certainly did not want to continue.

NO - THEY SUCK !!!!! They reject photos left and right. For no reason - Out of 15 photos I tried to post they rejected 13 of them. Those same photos are on Zoosk - which I recommend highly -

It is the WORST dating site EVER!!! Nothing but people out of your profile "match" and close to where you live! DO NOT waste your money trying this site!!! They state that the initial fee is around $14.00 or so, but they will charge your CC $84 for months of sign up that you NEVER asked for!!! RUN...JUST RUN!!!!

It is the WORST and if you ever see their ad on Facebook.....trust me, the men NEVER look like the ones they have posted on it! Not that we expect because it is all about advertising, but really at least give one or two that could be!

Match.com is the way to go.....even if one doesn't find someone interesting.....at least you are given opportunities to meeet interesting people!

it amazes me that buyers dont do a check on the online date sites before handing over card details ..theres bad feedback on this crap site going back many years .would you buy a new car before conducting a search of reviews ?? ***** .. few good reviews on online date sites out there
