Actually, I did meet a woman on Adult Friend Finder a long time ago. We became friends until we had a falling out. I don't know if the site is still legit, but it was about 7 years ago. If I was to look for a casual hook up, that's where I'd sign up. But I wouldn't fork over a lot of cash.

Not many are legit. AFF is legit. Although someone said if you're male, it's tricky. Very true. Craigslist is full of hookers and gay/bi men. unfortunately they are all scams or very difficult to succeed at because of all the competition there's always going to be a better looking man with more money that can attract more women to his profile. That being said there are legitimate dating sites like E-Harmony, Match.com and even Tinder has been advertised in a Family Guy episode. Other people have been using facebook itself to find possible mates in their area.

Although there are legitimate ways to get casual dates online the best way is still going to a local bar, shopping malls and movie theaters etc. tourists are probably the best ways to find casual hookups because they live out of town or they're even from another country and they're just looking for a very short term relationship.
