If you are in the UK and do a "My Latest Match" search, about 70% of the UK search results are members who have been inactive for 6 or more months.

I assume they keep them to bolster their claim about how many members they have, even if a majority are bogus.

Absolutely, a scam. buyers beware. I got messages from a few people. I replied, and never heard back from them again. Some messages I
received were the same. Angry These people should be put out of business, and shut down. How cruel. Somebody has a house on the hill by running this scam on people who trusted that this was legit. Should be dragged out into the streets, and shot in the head.

excited
I am of the believe that there are some exciting girls on this site. I have been chatting to one for a few days and things appear to be going well. Ok we have not met yet and a girl can changeher mind but the conversation has been enlightning about sub-dom relationships. i am now going to join a club re the subject. Yes some messages come and are very short. maybe they were drunk when they sent them and then forget about it. Rememver we guys can be awful at times. I'd be very careful about meeting a guy on here if I was a woman. Well I would like to meet someone but hey the conversations have been good. Where did I put that rope? Michael

There is a huge difference between UK and the USA Female membership.

UK female members are few and far between. Sexsearch tries to boots the number of female members, by displaying females from their sister site PassionSearch whose motto is "Flirt, Date Fall In Love". PassionSearch members are looking for something completely different, and I wonder how many of them know their profiles are being displayed on a Sex Search website.

Michael are you a USA or UK member?

Hi I just joined for a trial period to see what the score was really, I'm 21 and not bad looking, was just looking for some fun, in 24 hours since joining I've had about 12 profile views from women aged 27-32 and about half of them have sent me emails and/or meet up requests. None of them are stunners just good to reasonable looking and have multiple pictures and stuff. I thought it was all good till I came across this site, I just want some opinions, anyone think these contacts are legit? Or should I bail out while I still can? I appreciate any advice cheers. (I'm UK by the way and the women are from everywhere round the country)

If you read some of the posts, you will know its a ploy to get you to pay for full membership. No woman in her right mind will request to meet someone she has not previously contacted. Make sure your brain does all the thinking and not your mojo.

Take note of their screenname, if its explicit, it's 99% bogus.
Look carefully at the colours in the photo, the features of the face if there is one.
Some pics have been scanned from magazines, other look like they were taken in the 60's - 70's.
Some have very explicit pics.
Some show the full face of the person, have explicit text descriptions and the profile states their occupation as a Teacher? (think about it).

If you get an IC chat window, take note on the member ID to check after they close the window or simply do not respond. DO NOT GIVE YOUR EMAIL ADDRESS IN IC CHAT, you will end up with spam, and when you check the ID it will not be found in the screenname database search.

There are a FEW genuine UK female members. I've been exchanging emails with them for a women's perspective of this site. None of them have explicit photos or text in their profiles.

UK Member only until subscription ends.

Thanks for the advice SD, yeah I thought so as far as the meeting requests were concerned, that would just be crazy. I have read a lot of the other comments and noticed a few positives dotted among the negatives.
None of the screen names are explicit, I think you may be right about some pics being scanned, a few were quite grainy looking.
So that's whittled it down to 3 possible genuine ones I have left lol, oh well I guess I''ll have to wait to go back to uni in October for my girl fix.

If you want to meet real people face to face, then Sexsearch is definitely a scam.

1. If you join and cancel, you will have trouble getting them to stop drafting your credit card.

2. Even after you finally cancel, and get your credit card company involved, they will send you invitations to come back - do not reply, even to say that you want your name removed from their mailing list .

3. MOST of the auto match contacts are dead ends. There probably are real people using sexsearch, but if the person you are automatched with never replies or replies only once with some broken English non-sense, it is probably not a real person.

I foolishly paid for a 90 day trial in December. About 60 days into my 90 day trial, I closed my account. I thought that was the end of it. I wasn't even trying to get my money back, I just figured it was a lesson learned. Guess what happened ? At the end of 90 days, sexsearch auto renewed my account for another 90 days, even though I had CLOSED and CANCELLED my account, "hid my account", and set all of my "contact preferences to NO. Dozens of fruitless emails to sexsearch later, I had to contact my credit card company to get the charge reversed. So here it is over 6 months later, and I am STILL getting "match SPAM".

Sexsearch will give you some excuse that you closed your account but did not specify not to renew.... like it is some kind of misunderstanding. There is no misunderstanding these people. They get your credit card number and charge you until you die.

Do not use sexsearch. The contacts I received were dead ends. And you will never be able to get sexsearch to quit charging your credit card.
