I've never had any problems. People need to use better passwords that are unique to each site.

It's not that simple. Hackers use Advanced methods these days. I have different passwords for all different accounts. I've had this POF account for three or four years. I was never hacked but I was yesterday... and just Google the search term POF hacked and you'll see how many people have been affected.

Update:

The first email I received from POF after 8 emails on my part told me to simply delete my account and create a new one.

I received a second email telling me that my account has essentially been frozen for lack of a better term and to reset my password. As I explained eight times, I cannot reset my password because the hacker changed my phone number and then require Authentication ( an Antiquated form of authentication that doesn't take into account the original users original phone)

I received a third email from them saying that my account had suspicious activity and has now been closed.

Class action lawsuit anyone?

I've just had this same problem. Can Anyone tell me how to email POF? I also cannot log into my account to delete it, and my images are on there that I did not put on there
Please send an email contact if you have it,
Thanks!

I also was hacked. They changed my images and began sending messages to unsuspecting people with a hi and kiss emoji. I was able to get into my account and deleted it. I did send an email to pof but I really don't have much hope, given similar situations and responses. Lesson learned. I will never do that again.

My account was hacked they kept my pictures and deleted everything I wrote. I hadn't signed out on the app so I saw them sending a stupid link about if they wanted to have sex. I felt violated I had received texts about the code I need to login yet they got on my profile anyway. I was signed up less than a week. Apparently I had been hacked in the past and my account had been shut down which annoyed me as I had messages on there from someone I had been talking to. My phone had started to blow up with loads of messages I thought odd until I saw all the messages they had sent hi to loads of men and then sent a link, they put a caption under my selfie to add them on snapchat. That's my personal pictures pof need to fix this I will never go on pof again, and also it worries me as my postcode and personal details are on there.

Right - it's not the password...if only it was that easy. I've been a POF member for years with no problems, however, my profile was hacked last fall and after repeatedly trying to resolve the issue with POF over the phone and online numerous times, I give up.

I kept creating a new profile and after accessing it one time, I could no longer access it (this happened at least 5 times). I mentioned to them that I thought my profile had been hacked, but they denied that there was any hacking going on with their website (so, I just made this up?). POF knows it's a problem, but either they don't care, or it's beyond their capacity to fix. :-(

Update 3/8/20

Seems pof aren't very good at keeping there site secure.
Only been on this site for just over a week, made a very strong and secure or what I thought was secure password(I'm very tech savvy) and hackers have not only changed all my photos etc but all my search criteria and even had the cheek to send out messages to men ....
They even changed my mobile number to try and stop me getting in in some feeble attempt !!!.

For goodness sake why do some folks hack a profile in the 1st place as it makes absolute no sense whatsoever???.

Currently awaiting pof HQ to get back to me

I have had my account hacked also. Sent email and have to wait one to two days?? This is ridiculous. I'm an upgraded member and can't shut it down? Email has obviously been changed and can't reset password. I am beyond frustrated. How do I get my money back? How do I stop my profile being blasted out there? What can I do to fix this terrible situation?

I have a problem too, I was also hacked, although I recently bought a new computer and changed all the security, passwords and accounts. How to get away from it, who knows?
