I decided after getting my one resposne after sendign 17 e mails and the only one that responed in sort of an interested manner was the mother of a daughter who did not want her to date. Talk about being the potentail stepdaughter from hell. So after the rejections and reading this and other sites, I have thrown in the towel on the Internet dating. So I e mailed match.com and they have this menu that includes signing. I did afte the usual 'are you sure you want to do this' crap. I had signed up for 6 months because the membership was in a roudn about gift. So instead of crditing my credit card for the remaining time, they simply said that they would not auto renew but no refund for the remaining time. So if match wants to do this I am going to write the most explict ads I can and each time I get rejected, I am going to send another one until I drive their staff crzay. Match does not play fair and this proves that they are only in it for the money as well as the rest of the dating site scammers like Yahoo.. As far as the 'free' sites, I think you get what you pay for. Better to take your chances on the outside and try to neet 'normally'. It may take more time but the trobule with Internet dating is that the women don't care becasue they can always move on to anothe guy. The ones that I have met at work seem to be more interested nj a relationship.
