Forum Subject: Men asking Women their Age

I live in a college town which means during the school year I am surrounded by beautiful women, BTW I am not complaining. I work at the local gym and am in my mid-thirties. This one girl caught my eye on several occasions and she has approached me a number times to ask questions about one of the machines or fitness. I got the impression she is into me. She is very attract and the last time we talked for several minutes. She asked about my tattoos and she did plenty of hair tossing and eye contact. She also appears to be in her early twenties. I have a general rule that I don’t date anyone 10 years younger than me. So, I asked her how old she was and that was like putting the brakes on the conversation. She told me to never ask that of a woman.

I can sort of see an older woman not wanting a man to ask her age but why is this girl giving me a hard time? I don’t get it.
