I've been looking for some completely free sites sites
I'm tired of this "pay $30 so you can send messages and more winks"
Are there any completely free sites??
Ive tried plenty of fish, but I am looking for more mature sites.

There's OKcupid. Yeah there's a thing where you pay if you want features like no ads, anonymous browsing, and a few other things, but on that site you can do everything important for free (such as browsing, searching, all profile elements, AND most of all, emailing people!)

OkCupid is not bad but I am actually trying to use Facebook now like a dating site. I am not talking about using Facebook dating application but just the normal Facebook. I got this idea after reading up on this site about
Facebook graph search. I can't wait until I can try that. Until then I basically search my friends friends for people that look interesting to me. I have over 200 friends so it will take me a while.
Basically what I do is of any people I think I like I will ask them to be a friend and send them a message. If they respond back and we become friends I then look more closely at their page since I have access now. If they are single and I like what I see I then try messaging them again to see if they are interested in talking. I have done with with about 5 people now. It hasn't moved beyond messaging at the moment but I do really like this one girl. I now just have to get up the nerve to ask for her number so we can go on a date.

If it is a free site you are looking for then your only real choice then is Okcupid. Still has scammers but not nearly as many as plenty of fish. I have met some fun people on this site but I also think it depends on were you live. Living in big cites like Boston are probably best when joining Okcupid since it is based in Boston I believe.
If you don't mind spending a few bucks then I would suggest e-Harmony. There questionnaire may be long but it is worth it. I have been on this site for only a week and I am already receiving messages. I am a guy and I always had to send messages out on other sites before I ever heard from anyone.
