Ok, this topic is for those who have had negative experiences on a site called Netrelate aka Cybersoulmate aka Secularity...all sisters sites owned by the same "company" and I use that word very loosely!

I have nothing nice to say about the site really. The people who run it use underhanded tactics. The moderators are friends of the members and play favorites. They read private messages between members. They send viruses to members who have been banned. They have suspended people from the site indefinitely, and have left their profiles up to make it look as if they are still there. These are just some of the things that go on at Netrelate. I would never recommend this site to anyone!

Yep. I was a member for nearly a year and a half, and they deleted me for warning others in Private (well, apparently not really private!) messages about what they did to some others and that they did indeed read private messages. Certain people on that site can get away with being grossly insulting all the time while others are deleted for almost nothing. There are nice people there, but I would say if you go there, definitely don't pay to be there. I had more than 2 months premium membership when they deleted me. i messaged them and they said "we don't refund people who violate our TOS - good riddance, traitor!" Like you can be a traitor to a website! And their TOS mentions nowhere that they read private (yeah right) messages or that if you are deleted you don't get a refund. Hey, maybe I should complain to paypal about this, and even if they don't try to make them pay me the difference, at least maybe they won't deal with them anymore!

They really suck. If you aren't one of their friends from a long time ago you get away with nothing. The people that knew them long enough and agree with them politically can get away with anything. Though "Hasta" isn't exactly agreeing with them politically, is able to insult anyone as bad as possible and get away with it. Do Not give them any money.

They even lie and say they don't read posts in private groups. Yet somehow they deleted pornographic pictures in groups that weren't registeres on the Cybersoulmate version of the site. See, because of rules the credit card companies and paypal apparently have, they can't have naked pics/porno/etc on the Netrelate or Secularity sites. So Cybersoulmate doesn't take credit cards or paypal. But if you are a member of 1 , you are a member of all 3 (unless you believe in a god- then you're NOT a secularity member) so all you need to do is pay through NR or secularity and sign in through CSM. Pretty devious, huh? Oh, and I'm sure if you criticized the site in a private group you'd get deleted!

Hello...I am currently a member of Netrelate and I am afraid if I say anything negative about them I will be deleted next. I have seen many people deleted from the site lately....and for what I do not know. I have heard many stories like the ones everyone here is describing. Well if you ask me Netrelate is ran by very unscrupulous people including that Adam guy .
Now tell me which other site apart from Megafriends let moderators run in the forums , unchecked to say whatever they wish , while snipping other members to their heart's content ?
Have you seen his hompeage in secularity , speaking agaisnt censorship ? well I posted a poem and it got deleted , I then received a message telling me if I didn't reply to the mod I would be banished , I replied stating I knew who was complaiing and if he saw himself in that poem then he had a big problem .
They then deleted me ! But funny enough they keep my poetry in there ? Now how screwed up is that ?
So much for censorship , and I read about the way they get around paypal , very devious indeed these people.
2 of the moderators run around like they own the place sticking their noses in every thread as if they were royalty !
AVOID NetRelate !!! The people that are worth knowing there don't make up for the invasion of privacy , I posted anon and they told another member who I was !
One member received a message asking who she was and had they ever talked by the one of the mods! Saying they saw them visit their profile ! Yet that member could have never visited a Mod's profile because they don't have any ! I now know how this person is and if you ask me the whole situation smells of rotten tuna on a roll .

Glad you could get that off your chest and yep, the owner is an odd ducky indeed. Yes, I did notice his claims that he doesn't like censorship and while looking at his homepage on the net, (Not related to his business), I also found a quote about censorship.....can you spell hypocrite?
I believe I sent that link out...along with many other links, me and a few buddies have made the urls into our email signature so that they can get more exposure...speaking of which....don't forget to do the "Daily".....I have contacted that site because there is no ZERO on the scale and that site most certainly doesn't deserve a ONE which is the lowest that it goes. I toyed with the idea that negative integers should also be incorporated but realized that a ZERO speaks for itself...in the meantime friends.....the ONE will have to do!

BTW......I've seen mods doped up and drunk to make 'em SNIP faster ... I've seen members made to stand in ice to freeze their legs so they wouldn't leave the site...shocked with a tiny device (like a really strong joy buzzer) so that every time the mod SNIPS 'em in that spot, they still thought they were being shocked and took off like lightening...to a better dating site!!

Just thought I'd add my 2 cents here. Yup, they are not the nicest group in the world. They do let some members get away with everything and if they take a disliking to you, don't expect to stick around.
I'm glad I never paid them anything.
Matt, if you got ripped off, try contacting the better business bureau. They have a web site. Also, there's usually a consumer protection division in most states. Let them know.
Seems like Hasta is a pain in everyone's butt. I know one person, whom I've since discovered is a mod kept repeating everything I posted and claimed it as her own thoughts. Then she didn't like it when I called her on it.

They were a good site until maybe about 2 months ago they started going downhill bad. Even before that they were making all kinds of changes. And not the kind members wanted. They even started a thread a while back asking about certain changes. They changed the way the page is when you log in, even though most people said not to. They also asked if they should allow 16 and 17 year olds to be members. Literally everyone said "no", even their own moderator. I was looking a few days ago at who was online, and lo and behold there was a 17 year old girl! This is going to be a show.....

I was thinking the exact same thing. They are trying to emulate MySpace. If they change so they don't allow the dirty talk/language, the site will become totally boring and drive away all the long-time people. If not, they could get in trouble. Sure wish I had seen all of this before - the site did go to hell in a hurry which was a shame since I met a LOT of nice and fun ladies on the site and enjoyed the different contests and forums that were always hopping. Wonder what happened to good ole dips**t Adam!!

What a bunch of crap. That was an awesome dating site. Why do I say that? Because I met my beautiful wife Lisa "Blondy" on there and we have been married for 8 years now. It worked for me! Thank goodness and thank you Cybersoulmate!
