Has anyone tried going to one of those singles meetup groups? Do you find them awkward or are some better than others?
I have done a bit of research, our local church has one which is free but I am not sure of how many people in it, are in my age group (30's). I have also read up on groups that hold events and activities which seems more appealing to me since you are actually doing something and it wouldn't be as hard to break the ice with small talk.
Still, I wish I had another single friend to go with me on these "adventures". I think I will probably join a few dating sites first and see how that goes. If it doesn't go well then I guess I will try the singles groups.
