I've tried those online dating services, and they never work. I created a profile on one, knowing full well that my chances of meeting a woman were about zero. After I got over 200 messages a month, I knew something was wrong. Sure enough, every one of those messages in my inbox looked like spam. If I was one of those women, the web would be the last place I'd be looking for a decent man.
You know, I think what happened with online dating was that the basic concept itself wasn't flawed, but so many people have abused it that it has become a joke. I really think any man who thinks he's going to meet a woman online is better off playing pro football. He needs to do something real, like join a group of people who share his interests, or if such a group doesn't exist, he should start one, and stop thinking his computer is going to solve his loneliness problem.
So, it looks like the only way online dating is going to get some of its legitimacy back, is for real people to start real life groups... and oh yes, they can put up a website as a sideline instead of as the main show. Meetup dot com is something like this, its basic layout seems like it was made to discourage trolls and phonies from joining, but it's really too little too late. Sadly, I don't even know anyone else who has heard of Meetup, and online dating's reputation is already ruined. We singles are back to square one.
But that's just my assessment of the whole thing... there is always going to be that one guy in a million who's going to tell me off for it, because he met his "perfect woman" through online dating, etc etc. I've heard it all before.

It is unfortunate that you feel this way. I personally had substantial success with online dating. I run a site to write peoples' profiles, and have a good stream of very sincere clients.
I think you may be on the wrong dating sites. Big sites like match.com and yahoo personals have a lot of people who are serious about finding a partner online. I would suggest you open an account with them and give it a try.
Good luck,

I must admit I felt the same way too, that was a year ago now. But then I realized it was my own fault for not properly investigating these services most closely.
There are a few important key points everyone is looking for in a dating service:
1) 100% Free.
2) Excellent customer service.
3) Find one who mentions that their selection process for membership/applicant's is considered second to none.
4) Professional.
If you start going to free dating services just because their membership and popularity is at the top. Then you will be in for a surprise. It is these type of services who are only concern with popularity.
So what is the solution? Go to any of your favorite search engines and use the following keywords:
'100% Free professional dating service' or 'Free professional dating service'. And check out the results of those websites listed.
Hopes this help.

I must say i joined up with a site Match. guess you can figure out the rest. Sent out 130 e-mails 1 reply and was asked if i was on drugs i must of been signing up for this and top it off i paid for it. I do not believe in these sites anymore due to you get these 25 yr old bomb shells on there and think the only reason is to get comments on how good they look and how great a smile ect. I am not a bad looking guy and have a pretty good personality but have a hard time with someone e-mailing me. Maybe i should lie like hell and post someone else s pic and maybe get reply's lol.. I guess i just wanted to vent and tell alot of you don't waste your money and save it go see a movie and hope you meet someone in line you will have better luck and good luck to all trying to find love out there.
