hello all

I run a web directory and i got a new submission of a dating website. Now normally i dont help market a website but this one just seemed to, well, catch my attention. The site is called 247sexysingles.com and the description i got of the site basically explains it to be a provocative adult dating website.

Before i accepted the site i gave it the once over, now when i registered i noticed a couple of things

1. The initial look of the site isnt brilliant but the owner has that one covered because he is awaiting a webdesigner to finish the new design.

2. The owner of the site is offering the first 10,000 members who join and post a picture in there profile a free upgrade.

3. Because of the above i noticed that their was no false user accounts like ive seen in other dating website that have been submitted to my directory.

4. In the announcement section he states that once the 10,000 free memberships have gone he is going to charge £5 per annum until they reach 100,000 members. Im not sure how he is doing this and i emailed the guy to find out what the score was. This was my response

Thanks for the enquiry. Well, basically i have joined various dating sites after getting divorced last year and to be honest i cant see why they charge so much. When i have my new site from the designers at freelance and with all the features im after like live chat and video hosting and blogs etc ive worked out that it will only cost $100 a month to host my site.

And then with this global recession i thought to myself how can i make myself different so i thought what i will do is one offer free memberships so i have lots of members to attract new members, then i will offer discounted memberships and then we will see what happens from there.

Well ive joined the site and messaged various men and women to see what they think to the site and they all seem pleased with it. In fact the owner has just posted that he will email everyone shortly to tell them when the site will be offline for the upgrade so we will see what happens, I hope you like it and im sorry for my spelling and punctuation.

Interesting article, i checked the site out and it is a little basic but theres some really hot blokes on their. Ive joined the site and cant wait for my membership to be accepted.

If you join i did notice in the terms and conditions what john didnt mention the first picture has to be a facial picture and after that its free reign.

Erm, was going to say something else but forgot.

I think this is a faker site and email response to the original post above.

Looking at Alexa's rating for this site, it only has a 1.8 million rank and it's dropping.

The traffic on the site comes from India, so most probably some programmer out there setup the site,
put up a bunch of fake profiles as with almost all other dating sites and the site won't really go anywhere.

So again, at first look, it's not really what it seems.
